Nah, won’t waste more time. I just won’t get a prinsu. I don’t think the sides and the fairing is worth $500... plus you gotta buy the noise reducer...

    The requirements:
    https://prinsudesignstudio.com/meet-or-beat/

Their get out of any price match clause:
"We reserve the right to deny submissions for subpar quality racks of any type.
These racks are not a fair comparison; i.e. metal composition, fabricationt techniques and comparable features."

    No eBay either:
"Racks that are to be matched must be sold by another rack manufacturer. For example, racks being sold by individuals don’t qualify (I.e. ebay, marketplace, forums, etc). But racks sold by dealers and manufacturers that meet the above requirements will be price matched!"

    So prinsu boycott?
Edit: should be easy now that we have a nice list of racks that may or may not be comparable

this seems like a perfect opportunity for victory 4x4 to find a way to capitalize on the blunder made by Prinsu. Their rack is already a little bit cheaper than prinsu, and @monkeyevil is a pretty active member here.

It is, but I don’t know his name on the forum or if he’s even active here, victory 4x4 also makes a great rack and is more likely able to do something like this vs Martin offroad who may or may not have the capacity for large volume orders like this would generate.

definitely spend your money where you think it’s deserved, I’m sure you can’t go wrong with either rack.

the Martin guy used to be here I think, but if I remember correctly, he got the TW response when he started “copying” prinsu. So I don’t think he has a big presence here now.

I resubmitted my request after I saw a FB post where they said they got so inundated on day one they pretty much lost a ton of them, and asked that people resubmit. They got back to me within 48 hours (maybe even less than 24). They did accept to match the rack I requested, Prinsu Habitat rack for price of Martin Offroad Camper Rack. After chatting with the wife though... decided to forgo a rack. We just don't have that much need for one right now (still room in truck bed and such). And if I bought one, I'd need to get a nice $1000 lightbar for it! lol.

True, I called after I submitted mine on October 1. Prinsu stated they didn't have my request and that I should resubmitted. They also said they're responded to requests within 24-48 hours (though the previously told me 5-7 days).

Seems like a great time for another company to swoop in, offer a discount, and get a lot of customers looking for a good quality, inexpensive rack.

Knew a dude who got the hooke rack, got rid of it and got a Prinsu. Lol. Hooke rack looked really tacky. If Martin rack was exact dimensions as Prinsu, I would've went with that. Just didn't because I knew for a fact Prinsu would line up with my be rack. So far best deal I found was used or from Rooftop Overland.
