Usually they are a specific model bought that way from the dealer.

has anyone been able to eliminate the whistle this make above like 50mph? I added some small door edge stripping that took care of most of the noise, but it's still pretty loud when I get around 70-75

    interesting...

I have zero wind noise.. no whistle, hum, etc.. unlike my old 50" radius bar. that thing howled and had general air/turbulence noise like crazy. The Prinsu... has hardly any, if any at all.. plain ol wind noise in general. LOVE this rack!!

Honestly the whole wind noise thing is a nightmare. I am yet to determine what causes it in some cases and why it is non existent in other circumstances. I get some people who complain of noise. Others who say it is normal, others who say they don't have it at all. I think the noise can vary so much depending on speed, wind conditions, what you have on the rack, and your personal description of noisy, that it has been next to impossible for me to figure out a common solution. I actually had one customer tell me that the edge trim (which was determined to be helpful in some way by everyone that had tried it) actually caused more noise so he took it off and the rack was quiet.

Dont even stress yourself out over it Zach!

If anyone who bought a rack was under the assumption that they wont get SOME wind noise... only has themselves to blame. Its a rack, altering the factory designed aerodynamics. Slap on a light bar that cause their own wind noise, plus whatever else is up there.. and you're bound to get something. There are too many variables to determine the cause and a solution. This is why companies offer disclaimers. For people without sense.

Me personally.. I may have some wind noise.. but since there are so many other things that make/could make noise, and the fact that I've been used to shit on the roof for a couple years now, it doesnt faze me one bit. Like I said.. I love this rack and think it is as quiet as anything possibly could be mounted to the roof of a vehicle. I hear my Exhaust, my Cooper's, and other misc noises over anything the rack produces.

I appreciate you stressing about it and always trying to make it better....it means you truly care about the product you produce (unlike some vendors such as Skygear where he stole $187). But I agree to not lose sleep over it. I notice in some pics, some trucks have larger gaps that others in the wind deflector. When I moved mine to the higher of the two settings it got REALLY bad. The lower setting is not so bad. I always wonder if the deflector didn't have the curves on the edges, if it would help with the noise more. If you want a test truck to see with a truck that is pretty loud....I'll be the guinea pig hehe. I did just order your weather strip to see if it helps.

At the end of the day I'm ordering the audio soundproofing and an insulator to put on the roof to suppress the noise. I think the blue tooth doesn't work because the speaker location is right under the wind deflector area. You have a great product.....there is no way I would want to remove it....it is WAY to handy.

I just want to say I wasn't complaining about the rack. I love this thing. I was just asking if anyone had a solution to make it less noisey. I usually have my music on so I don't hear it anyway. It's when I'm driving with no or low music when I notice it. I'll just try some different weather stripping. What I have now reduced the wind noise a ton

I'm going to put in the SHOK Industry sound deadener along with a layer of dense core foam on the entire inside of the roof. I'm going to start there and continue deadening more after that to see what it takes. I really think that will mute most of the noise.
