What length spacer and carriage bolt did you end up getting? Trying to do that same setup..

    Are your kayaks 12'?

order now if your timeline is strict. Then in several weeks when it does show up (after your timeline) then you will be satisfied

Yeah they're 12' kayaks. I'm not sure what the spacer length is ... I just used some I had laying around (maybe 3/4"? It would basically be the thickness of the rubber piece). From the manufacturer, there is a threaded piece that the bolt locks in to. So you have to cut a hole in the rubber piece that sits on top so that you can access the bolt head (which is a security bolt btw). You then slightly drill out the knob in the head of the security bolt - be careful not to strip the bolt head with your drilling. Once you've worn down that security knob, you can back the bolt out of the threads with an allen wrench. Then use a 3/8 bit (I may have used a 1/4 bit. I would start with 1/4 and see if you can feed the 1/4" carriage bolt through) to drill out the threaded part and use a spacer of some kind to fill the gap between the top of the previously threaded piece and the rubber. The spacer just allows you to really crank down on the carriage bolt without sinking into the rubber. I'm not sure how it works with other brands, but rhino rack definitely made it a pain in the butt. Worth it if you're going to use it though, there is 0 movement in the rack or the kayak.

If you have a timeline, don't order it. Only real advice I can give. I went by his word and unfortunately his estimate wasn't even close. Still patiently waiting.

With that being said his product is exactly what I want and many people have said he has great customer service. So I have no issue giving him my business all things consider. Just wish the time line worked out better

Each order might be different based on what was purchased and available. But I ordered mine May 2nd, got a sipping notification from paypal on June 7th. Check it every day for shipping updates and it still shows it hasn't arrived at the shipping facility... Hoping that's just a fluke and it is in fact on its way

No Zac just creates a shipping label super early. Happens all the time I've noticed, happened with mine as well. Just be patient and it'll get there

My only complaint is the his logo is backwards on the passenger side rail on the cabrack.

How long after the label was created was it actually shipped for you?

Not sure honestly, it was a year plus ago. But I'd say like a week and a half or so. Mine was different seeing I'm a first gen and he had a few racks already made ready to go

Not sure about about anyone else, but it might be a good idea to create a separate thread for people who have ordered and are waiting for shipping, and have questions.

My first time it was about 5 days and then I could track it. The second was 2 weeks before I could track it.

Just seems like people keep asking the same questions over and over again, not getting answers they like. I figured this thread would be geared more towards how-two's, pics of installs, shortcuts, and what people have mounted to their racks, etc.

It would just become another thread lost in TW. One is better IMO

Doubtful, you haven't been on here long enough. Once you get your rack, you'll see what I'm saying.

I don't really know what having my rack will change. Regardless of me having my rack this thread is designed to show of your rack, answer questions and all other items related to Prinsu, Am I right? I have been around for months and have seen the same question asked multiple times, just have the understanding that not everyone will have the time to search for older answers, and with time things change so it may not always be accurate to rely on older info.

I'm not going to argue with you, but sure if you keep answering the questions over and over, people will continue to ask . Like you said, all the info is at the front, but they don't want to look. This thread has morphed into an ETA of delivery thread, and bitching about not receiving it when they need it, not what you originally said it was. I really liked seeing what people installed, how they did it, shortcuts to doing it, and stuff like that.

You are only saying that because you are awaiting a rack. Once you receive your rack, you will see how much of this thread is a bunch of whining. For people who can't wait, or have a tight timeline, plan ahead, that's all I'm saying.

There's the keywords right there. My point is they are not getting answers to their questions from him here. Just sucks how this thread has gone downhill, that's all.

There's your keyword again "used to". He used to deliver in that time frame, but clearly demand has grown. 4-6 weeks is not planning ahead, clearly from all the people complaining. My point is people are bitching how in that 4-6 wk time frame, they don't have their rack. That's my point. That's like me ordering a rack right now, waiting a day over 6 weeks, coming on here and complaining.
