    More common ground, Chad.

Beer is proof we are better buds than others would think.

For the record, I don't have any problem with you. We probably have about 2,000 acres of common ground.

I'm just trying to defend a fellow vendor because I know what it's like to aggressively try to boost your business, then get pinned under the bus when it happens.

Pretty sure he still works a full time job just like me as well. Man that shit ain't easy.

See? More common ground. That's obviously a Deer Hunter reference. My favorite movie.

Funny but there is an option for anyone that wants to source addional cross bars themselves.

The cross bars come from 8020, and the particular one he uses is the 10 series 1020. 1"x2" and is only threaded 1/4-20 option. Another option would be the 25 series metric in size 25mmx50mm that can Be end tapped at m6- you would have to order that direct. Zach only uses the fractional size to my knowledge based on his website. Zach's prices are cheaper by a few dollars bar, so either he is tapping himself now or he passes along volume discounts.

Or need some special size or angles to do something different.

He sources his T-slot cross bars from http://www.tslots.com NOT 80/20....tslots.com is right in Utah. Don't ask how I know this ;) I ordered 9 additional 47" cross bars from a tbars distributor and got them $5 less each than what Zach sells them for and had them in less than 5 days to my door. Keep in mind going this route you will have to source your own mounting bolts, washers and split washers. I ended up ordering black oxide stainless steel washes, bolts and split washers from McMaster (keep in mind these are all black) as I didn't want to deal with the HW Zach provides to eventually rust is his aren't SS....its costly to get the black SS HW but worth it IMO.

here is a link to the crossbars in their catalog:
    http://www.tslots.com/catalog/?page=22

Its actually page 23 and the part number for the black is 650102, silver is 650002. You will want to include the 1/4-20 tapped option 660025 on both ends and cut to 47" in length with the Cut-to-Length (CTL) option 660000

The single 1" cross bar is here on page 16 (not the ones on 17): http://www.tslots.com/catalog/?page=16

Here is a link to find a local distributor or you can use the Utah distributor and they will ship to you (what I did):

    http://www.tslots.com/find-a-distributor/

    In-Position Technology
    189 South State Street, 100
    Clearfield, UT 84105
    Phone# 801-528-4690
    iptech1.com

Putting this out there for those that want to order additional crossbars but don't want to wait 6-8+ weeks to get them delivered. Again you will have to source your mounting HW but thats easy compared to the current wait time for additional parts from Prinsu.

    You rang?
I'd say maybe 4 at this point but with my setup you never know what the next batch will look like.
    Keeps it interesting.

One additional thing: I build truck stuff mainly because I enjoy doing it so much. Joe already knows that though. :D

Drink 1... or 4 for me. Going on hr 8 at work, on day six, and it's looking like it'll be another 4 hrs to go. Woof.

Sometimes a 1/4 turn back off on a thread just isn't enough when welding... haha.

I hear that. Looks like it'll be a 66 HR week. Glad oilfield is picking up and they need machined products, but damn.

This has probably been covered but how far off the cab roof do these extend? I have a high topper and would want the rack to sit flush. Topper extends about 6 inches above cab roof. 20170617_083418.jpg

I know there's a lot of talk going on about these racks but I just wanna say my experience with @zscott wasn't the best but he was still a great guy to work with in the end. I use my rack for kayaks or lumber ever weekend and I don't regret going with him ( or the hassle ) for a second. It was worth every Penny and I would do it again
