That was BenTheMan’s photo.. I did not have those plates either and I’m having a hell of a time getting the rack to lay flat with the top curvature if the cap.

Nope. I did have to stack 8 washers to account for the curve of my shell

I had to stack 8 washers on the outside of the foot for it to work. It was a pain But I eventually got it to work. I did have to change the bolts that slide in the rail from 3/4 to 1in

Each camper is going to have a different shape/contour. Also depends exactly how far apart the tracks are placed because of the curve of the shell.

Mine were installed 40in center to center but I've seen the same shell with the tracks closer and the curve wasn't as extreme.

I was looking at my ARE V series shell and noticed the it not only curves from side to side but also curves from front to back. Like a bubble on the back of the truck. You might want to look at placing the feet at equal distances front to back from the middle of the curve of the shell.

Mounted the rack the other day and loaded the tent on yesterday.

The CVT rails are a bit to wide and the drop mounting brackets interfere with the Prinsu feet. I may have to re-mount the tent rails narrower.

Overall pretty happy with how it turned out.

Question: First, does anybody have a Prinsu Rack that has a sunroof? Will I run into issues?

No sir. Sunroof still functions as normal and if you really want, you can leave out the cross bar that goes over the center of the sun roof

I have a sunroof, and you just have to make sure you don't put a bar directly above the back if you tilt up the sunroof. I am not 100% sure it'll hit, but it's easy to move the bars.

I left a bar right in the middle of my sunroof for symmetry/OCD. I don't mind it.

Anyone have a good mounting solution for mounting TRED's at an angle (anyway except flat) I want to fit 2 bikes up there but the TRED take up one spot.

    my build tread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/socal-no-shame-poser-build.513084/
Could you get two 6” L brackets and 1/4” carraige bolts and space them just enough to slip board in on its side? Then bolt through L bracket-board- L bracket?

Or just bungee to bicycles on their sides somehow cleanly. Id probably look into bed rail brackets for your install

So, 1 day out in rain, and 1 day out in snow and my hardware is already rusted. That kind of sucks!

that's strange, maybe they changed hardware? Mine's been on since summer of 2017" and no rust at all
