Very good to know! I will swap these out with stainless steel. Hopefully that will take care of this issue.

Don't forget about the electrolytes such as the water or salt. Without that the corrosion will be a lot slower

Here are a couple pictures of my new set up

2 x Rocky mounts Thru axle mounts
    This design is really nice because ;
    - It lock the front axle unlike most racks for theft
    - Affordable!
    - They will match keys for you
    - Does not take up a lot of space when not in use!!

1 x Goal Zero 100w solar panel hooked up to a Yeti 400 in the bed
I know people have mixed reviews about Goal Zero and the cost vs. quality. They have alway done right by me and happy to support them!

1 x Plano case with Rotopax mount attached to Lid
Never seen this done before (Happy to share the secret sauce on how to make it)

    1 x Water Jerry can
This tucks nicely between two of the prinsu bars creating its own little nesting spot (a lot cheaper than a mount)

I just got my 6’ toprac about 90% installed. Am I supposed to have 6 mountings feet the same size? The middle crossbar doesn’t line up at all with them. The install instructions allude to the option of shorter mounting feet... seems like I should’ve gotten 2 short and 4 tall feet. Can anyone with the 6’ toprac please confirm what mounting feet you received?

    Pics for reference:

I have a Leer and ran into a similar situation. I mounted the front then the middle and then the feet on the back last. I had to push the rack down to get it mounted but the aluminum side bars allowed for enough flex to get the back ones mounted.

That’s what I thought about doing last night but decided to call CBI this morning and see what they said first. I’m sending them back two legs (standard height 1-1/2” tall) and they are either going to send me 1/2” tall or 1” tall feet depending on the actual measurement. I’ll get that when I get home today. Very helpful customer service and should be able to get the right parts.

For all those Leer owners out there, they do have an option for lower profile feet on the website under the accessories section. $60 for a pair of mounting feet is a bit excessive but they said they’d take the others back and do a free swap. Again, very good customer service and quick response.

I just got Prinsu rack!!! I tried looking at the install pics/directions for the hole punch method, but I couldn't find them. Does anyone have any links, pics, guides, or directions?

    Thanks

Remove the weatherstripping, find the holes in the cab, and put painters tape on the cab near the holes and transfer the lines. Lay the weatherstripping in the channel and transfer the lines from the painters tape to the weatherstripping.

Just got my rack.. still in the box.....2015 Access cab..probably install over the weekend, have a question...if its covered in this long post sorry for the dupe.....I am thinking of taking my Dremel and opening up a spot to insert the 1/4 carriage bolt I understand works well in the cross members...anyone done this? I would think it will make adding/removing hold downs easy

Seems easy enough. How hard is it to punch through the metal wire?

What's in the plano box? I bought one of the inexpensive ones on Amazon with the thought... I'll figure out later what to put in it. I'm not a hard-core offroader, but the only thing I could think about was recovery gear. just curious what you plan on having in yours.

If you have a sharp punch, not hard. I recommend a 2lb sledge hammer

Alright cool. Just to confirm, its a 3/4" punch right? I'll post pics later to show how it came out.

    Mostly stuff I built.
Honestly if I was installing another one of these I’d delete the weather strip and just lay down a strip of 1” vinyl in the ditches at the front and rear.

Did that strip on the bottom of the wind deflector come with your rack? If not where did you get it from? I'm planning on ordering one soon!
