    If you do it right it shouldn't be visible no matter which color you use. You just need a small amount under the spacers for the bolts to seal the threads.

    Mostly stuff I built.
    Knock off ridgid scene lights off of Amazon. Pulled them apart to seal them and they looked legit inside had a nice coating of conformal coating on the driver board and plenty of salactic. Sealed them off good and they are good to go for me.

    Anyone have problems with the screws having too long of a shoulder and bottom out before tight? Every one of mine have 1/4" gap one went secure rack.:pout:

    Which screws? The ones that screw to the cross bars should be 1/4-20 x 1", I believe.

    6mm. Bad part about living in mountains. Hardware store 2hr round trip...lol...but I really shouldn't have to get new bolts..:notsure:

    Is there a specific brand of sealant that you guys are using? I read other forums where people recommend using Butyl Tape instead. The word “butyl” doesn’t come up at all in the 500+ pages of this thread!
