    Awesome thanks for the info

Also trying to confirm if toprack mounting has changed? In older posts on thread looks like the side rails had an L bracket that mounted to shell, now it looks like people are using the RTT brackets underneath crossbars to mount?

does anyone know if there is a bracket to mount a BD onx6 40" light so that it would sit flush with the cross bars and not above?

Did you try the prinsu ones? I just flipped a crossbar vertical and drilled through to mount it. Cheap and easy. Used security hardware to prevent sticky hands. No issues.

    Sits flush:

How did you disassemble the roller? This is the best solution I've seen so far for rolling up a kayak

mine sits just below the crossbar and i used the light brackets prinsu sells

i do run a s8 tho so its not as tall, you could always notch the holes out to give it room to move. as mine sits, it sits flush over the fairing

the onx6 has two mounting points on the side of the light bar as opposed to the s8 with only one mounting point. I did take a look at the brackets prinsu sells but not sure if it will work since onx6 requires two bolts on the side and they are further apart from each other than the two through holes on the prinsu brackets.

The roller comes disassembled. It has an aluminum tube and a plastic outer tube and two plastic roller ends that are bolted to the rack. I just had to measure to cut the tubes down then just assemble it together.

It worked really well. I’m happy how it came out.

i bolted mine directly to the side with 1/2" spacer sleeves between rack side panel and the awning. Holds tight.

I'm running a Morimoto single row bar that sits flush. My bar has 2 mounting holes as well. I ended up mounting the standard prinsu light mounts on the front face of the 1st crossbar (not the one behind the fairing). I just used 1 of the lights screws and haven't had any issues with it moving around. I'll snap some pics at lunch...

I don't think you even need the rear bolt for that system to work. Looks like it just is there to lock the angle of the light bar into place. Not really a requirement. Any standard light bar bracket that fits Prinsu should work for you just fine.
