    Nice.
I got bamboozled into getting cool brackets. Figured it'll save me some time by not making my own one, and save some $$ by not getting overpriced caliraised ones... smh

Quite a few things at this point..
Should I be concerned with how close the mounting feet are to my roof? I don't really see how that spot would compress, but I'm still a little concerned. It's just the front most mounting feet and only the "toes" of the mount.

Are you using the spacers? Mine are about half an inch over the roof

Just had to ask. I'm wondering if you could stack a washer or two under the side rail on top of the spacer that's already there.

That's what I've been thinking about doing. But I also want to be lazy and not redo things lol. I'm gonna see how things look after I get my canoe up there in a few days and see if I really need to worry about it. It's just so damn close I'm feeling like I should do something about it.

Yea, something is not right. I'll take a pic of mine but I know they are not this close. Theoretically, nothing should compress the rack at any of these points but that one is too close for my taste. Removing the bolts and then lifting one foot at a time is not that big a deal, just don't forget to add a lot of silicone in the spacer holes before you put them back in.

Well, I got my canoe up on it today. Drove it from where it was back to my house. Nothing indicates it ever touched and I saw no compression, so I may take the lazy route and leave it lol

Yea, it should never move, but it sure is weird.

These are old photos. I'll take better shots tomorrow. Maybe mine are closer than I remembered.

Sorry if this has been answered before, but can anyone tell me if the Prinsu Top Rack (for mounting on a bed cap) will work with 36" width tracks? Snugtop mounted the Yakima tracks on my cap narrower than the usual it would appear.

Victory 4x4 says they require 42.375" width tracks, so I'm wondering if this is an issue with Prinsu.

Should not be a problem. My snug top rails are set at 37” apart and been working fine for 2 years. The Prinsu feet can slide anywhere along the bars so will adjust to whatever width you need. Narrower may be better as the Prinsu feet are designed to mount on a flat surface so further out you go you have greater problems with curved roof on the snug top. On mine, I found the snugtop rails have enough flex to flatten up under the feet. Not ideal but works, dig deeper in this thread to so how others have dealt with non flat roofs

Ok, thanks. At this point this is looking like more trouble and cost than it may be worth, and I'm going to just throw a rack over the cab and Yakima Flushbars over the canopy for skis and kayaks.

Can anyone rec a good way to add something to a prinsu rack for surfboards? I guess I just need a few elevated horizontal bars I can put foam protector strap mounts on...technically you could just strap them regardless but looking for a more elegant idea here.

Ok, not sure how many boards you need to transport but it seems laying down, upside down, nose forward with pipe insulation foam between it and the rack, with a ratchet strap. You should be able to stack a couple that way.

If you wanted to put them up there on their side then you could bolt down a couple large L brackets. 4 to be exact. Something like this:

    https://www.cabinetparts.com/p/knap...05iMrHum4b8utmJIFCsoUd7AI1_vk0DhoCmzcQAvD_BwE

Then you could use the same pipe insulation foam or colored pool noodles to protect the boards by sliding them over the bracket.

Looking to mount either a 5lb or 11lb proprane tank on my Prinsu rack. Can anyone post photos of how they managed this? Which product did you use for mounting and what modifications had to be made to make it work?
