You could even just get some strips of plastic and mount them using tnuts to the bars.

Yeah, I was thinking that too. I could just get ABS or PVC and cut it to size and bolt it on. That would also keep the profile lower

Anyone experience staining or turning white on their prinsu rack? Any suggestions on trying to remove/clean/bring back dullness? I have never cleaned before, not sure what its from.

I think it could be soap or a chemical reaction. I’ve had the same issue, but it usually washes off.

I’ve been meaning to post this for a while. When I first installed my prinsu, I zip tied the light bar wires to the rack. After cutting myself on the zip ties every time I washed the truck, I bought a few carriage bolts and clamps and was able to clean up my wiring. No more cuts when I wash the truck!

It's literally road grime. Look at the edges of your windshield where your wipers don't touch... same thing. Soapy water should remove it. Bug guts take more elbow grease. I'd suggest hitting the front and side panels with a light coat of spray wax that's safe for black plastics (Ice Spray Wax works). It'll cut down on the UV fading and darken it up a bit each time you wash.

My rack is officially a kayak rack now. Had to take off solar panels.
Seeing those who added the poles to raise it up, Ill do this so I can keep solar panels on

They are getting a new shipment by the end of the week and should be shipping then. Just purchased. Thanks for the recommendation!

This set up is ridiculously clean. Any chance you can post links to the screws/washers?

This is what I found so far

I ordered the Prinsu top rack for my shell today on my 2020 DCLB. I haven't pulled the trigger "yet" on the cab rack. I think they look awesome together. For those of you that have the cab rack, how is the wind noise?? I just sold my Jeep Wrangler Unlimited that had a 50" light bar and the wind noise on that drove me nuts.

I got both. Started with a cap rack and did not notice any noise with it on the shell. It might have been making noise but with on the shell there is no direct noise path to the cab other than air.
I later added a cab rack and noise was immediate.. Starts to show up around 50 mph and is not too bad up to about 60 mph and starts to become irritating above that. Results may vary depending on how much stuff you mount on top. Let’s just say I’m not going to get any speeding tickets as it reminds me to not go above 65 mph. Suggest you go for a ride with someone with a cab rack and judge for yourself If it will drive you nuts. I just turn the radio up and keep going

Thanks for the reply. Some say they don't hear it at all, some do. I definitely need to find someone in SD that had one to hear for myself. rattles and wind noise kill me. Haha. Do you have the trim around it or just the shroud?

Got the deflector with trim but haven’t tried the lowest setting to see if that makes a difference. Also have a light bar up there that may be adding noise. It’s not a whistling noise so I don’t think it is air going under the deflector. I’ll have to take the truck out and see if I can record the noise at different speeds. I pretty much got used to it and no longer notice it below 65 mph.

I only really notice it from inside the cab during a crosswind. An unexpected side effect was that apparently the bluetooth mic in the ceiling detects the vibrations from the wind noise making hands free calls more difficult and less pleasant for the people you're talking to.
