Sounds good thanks. I've heard putting the fairing on the lowest setting makes it better, but potentially will rub you paint.

Huh, yea I guess that makes sense because of where the mic is. I'm torn between the look and dealing with a little wind noise. Haha They look really good with the cab rack and top rack on the shell.

What ratchet straps work the best with the rack?

planning to use the side rails, not tie down eyes.

I use regular ratchet straps, don’t tighten them too much or the rack will start to flex.

I don't have a snugtop, but I have an ARE MX that has a good bow to the roof with roof tracks.
I installed those feet after dealing with the same issue and it solved the problem. I am still using the short prinsu feet in the center of the rack because of the arch of the MX roof though.

Did you go with the flat feet or the ones with an angle?

So I got my top rack install and after squaring everything up and tightening everything down I noticed the tracks on top of my shell are pulling up, has any one had this issue on a shell? I did notice that with the curve of the shell, the mounting feet did have a gap between the tracks and the feet up front. I have a Leer xl long bed I know this set up has been done many times. Any remedies? I'm gonna have to have the tracks pulled back off to re seal everything. It's like the rack needs curved feet instead of straight. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I went with the flat ones. I emailed back and forth with Will (the owner of sherpa) and he recommended the flat ones. My tracks do lean outward, but not that much. He said the contoured ones are ~9 degrees from flat.

Read 4 post above yours. Or stack some washers on the outside. Depends how much weight you want to store up there.

Thanks, just saw that. Where do you stack washers under the feet? Unfortunately I'm gonna have to pull the whole thing off and have the tracks re done and re sealed. it sucks to spend another $120 on new feet for the rack. That's just for 4 feet, I have 6 cuz I'm a long bed. Nothing is ever easy!

    on the outside like this

Not my photo. It’s a little janky, but I’ve actually had mine like that for oh 3 years now and it’s never been an issue (I don’t have that many stacked though). However I only carry a pelican case or two, recovery boards, and an awning on the rail. If I were to throw a rtt up there I may reconsider.

you’ll need longer carriage bolts for the outside

For anyone who has the Prinsu awning brackets, how tall above the cabrack does the top of the Prinsu bracket sit? I have a basic L-bracket that came with my CVT awning and wondering if the Prinsu would be too tall for garage clearance. Below is a pic of mine for reference, thanks

Man that is janky to have to do that on a brand new rack that is expensive enough, then have to do that. I think mine is more of a front to back issue from the curve of the shell. I'm wondering if a shorter middle foot would correct, leaving the longer ones on each end.

I bought my toprack used from a guy who had it mounted to a Leer cap, he was running the shorter middle mounting feet. I had it on my Snugtop with just 4 mounts for quite some time until I found the ones I needed used on here.
