Met with shutterbug today and mocked up one of the racks on his access cab. The rack only needs to be shortened a bit and will work with the access cab. It will require owners to drill their roofs unfortunately but for those who are interested it will be an option.

On a side note. I have created a work in progress website to keep track of some of the stuff associated with these racks. I added some pricing for the FJ Cruiser Racks for anyone who is interested in them.

Thanks guys. It is a work in progress. I don't have the money to have someone do it professionally and I am short on time to do it myself so it has been here a little there a little. Wix has been great though. I tried out a few free services until I can pay for my own domain and such and wix is really intuitive.

I am excited for yours as well. The custom additions we made to the rack for the topper should be pretty cool. I should have everything by monday or tuesday and will get stuff shipped out promptly after.

To anyone interested I have 2 sets of blank rails for the Tacoma double cab. These are formed from 1/4" aluminum but have no slots. Neither one has defects. One was used for mocking up the prototype and the other was for a customer who I have not heard back from. I am getting ready to move next month and would like to get rid of these before I leave. PM me if you are interested and we can work out a deal. These will be great for someone who wants to weld in crossbars rather than bolt them or wants to customize the rack past what my standard version offers.

Opened up the package today and am very impressed with the quality. Also, everything was well packaged including the bolts and other items. Going to paint the rack (depending on time management) hopefully Sunday.

I have been deciding on which case to buy all week as I had the same exact idea! Nice work. I ended up finding a pelican case of similar size used. Almost bought the plano, luckily I waited and this one popped up.

Did you bolt it down? Or just using tie downs? Also what size did you get? I was looking at them and couldn't decide between the 36 or 42 inch. I think the pelican case i got is 44

Also got the REI dividend today from the last year and it ended up being pretty significant due to some gifts we bought there. I am thinking about using it to get a solar panel to mount up there to trickle charge the national luna power pack.

I was going to do the same. Check out this place, they got some real good deals on panels.

Like them more and more each time I look at them. Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that you still sell them when I have the extra cash around

Nice, thanks. Still deciding if it is a logical purchase for me. Solar would be cool but I don't know if I get out for long enough to really need it.

If you are near a military post you can get those for really cheap on Craigslist and pawn shops.
