That's why. I had to wait longer because I order the Top Rack also. He was having trouble with parts for them.

    HI Zscott
Since May is quickly approaching and i read an earlier post that there was a possibility of a group by in May/June, how likely is it that this happens? Looking to get one during the next group buy.
    Thanks

I have those same boards are you still rolling with that same layout up top or has it changed?
I didn't think about mounting them with backs facing eachother but that makes a lot of sense.
I guess it depends on if it made much sound up top.

Also what case is that? ... looks like the one I just ordered perhaps.

Still rolling with the same setup. It doesn't make any more noise than my tires lol. If I hear anything I just turn up the radio lol!

The case is a 42" Plano locking rifle case. It works great for a lot of my recovery gear (straps, snatch blocks, tree savers)

Yep that's the case that arrives tomorrow and that's pretty much the same stuff I was expecting to go in there.
So you're saying it does make some noise haha... I guess I'll experiment and see if I really do care or not or how much different setups effect MPG.
Another option is getting a couple other bolts and mounting them both flat.
Or lastly I was even thinking of getting a second case to put the boards in since I think they'll fit inside that case

I know some people only have them up there when they do trips, however I travel full time so they'll be up there all the time.

    Nice, you'll like it!

It makes a little noise but not bad. Yeah you'll just have to experiment. I was definitely thinking about doing that side by side but haven't really noticed any significant decrease in mpg with the stuff on the roof. My truck is a pig and I only get like 12 mpg lol

I keep mine on at all times too. Way cool that you're traveling all the time!

It didn't seem like it was the case for the last group buy, but is it safe to assume that there wouldn't be an upper limit on the number of people doing it for the next group buy? In my life, if it's a max of 100... I'll most certainly be Mr. 101.
