Rack's sitting in the garage waiting for tonight! Any hints on the install? Is RTV silicone required for sealing? RTV is a bit of a pain in the ass to find in Canada.

Also. UPS sucks. Charged me brokerage for an item with just GST, no duty...

    Finally found some RTV.

For those that have installed. Did you put all the crossbars on first, then install assembled, or do the side rails first?

Also, if using T-slot gear. Did you put the t-nuts in the slots, even when not using them? Or do you take the bar off?

    Thanks

Easier with two man install, if not install side rails first but make um loose and put something on your roof like blanket so the cross bars won't scratch your roof. Then start putting in the cross bars. T slots if you are not going to use them. Leave them off if not when you turn while driving you going to hear them moving back and forth on the cross bars. Good luck with your install.:D

    It's on!

Wind noise was a bit more then I anticipated, going ~70mph. Any quick fixes? How high is everyone's deflector?

I lowered mine per Zach and it helped a lot. But hey...it's a rack, and it's gonna make some noise:notsure:
