    IMO, the general consensus: It works for what it's intended for but you get what you pay for in the long run. It's steel so it's more prone to rust.

    You might want to also look at the Martin Off Road Roof Rack. A little more expensive than the Hooke, but made of aluminum, very well built, and made in the US by a small business fab shop in NC.
