Oh shit! Maybe they changed it? On all the 2nd gen double cabs (and I heard early 4rd gens also) the holes are there.
Could you have ordered your truck with a roof rack??

They paint over this piece of plastic or tape. You can feel it out and find the holes and if youre mounting your prinsu, you can take that little piece of painted tape off, or you can just go through the tape into the holes.

I mean if it’s not optional on 2019 that would explain why no holes

Aha! That explains it. Are the holes threaded oor do you need to drop the headliner?
How do people install these rack? Cut the molding? Remove it completely? Or just punch holes for the bolts?

Just take the little piece of plasticy tape off, you can use a flathead to start the peel or just try to peel it off. Super easy, and the holes are threaded. People use silicone in between the washers and the roof/paint/hole to seal it. Its pretty easy

Perfect!! Haha. I was banking on that, never taken them off, just what Ive seen on youtube. I dont think they tape and stuff are really necessary for anything.

I was talking about the black rubber molding strip that goes the length of the roof in the drain channel

I mean of course... The only reason someone would need to take them off would be to put a roof rack on, and in that case they would use silicone to seal it

If you take that off, under it is what i was talking about, which is where the tape and holes are

You can cut the few inch areas where the holes are and leave those out, and fill the rest of it with the rubber molding. You know what I am saying?

Check this vid out, Max Powell did it great

You can go without, I did for a while and it's hard to tell from most angles. You can cut holes for the spacers or you can section the mouldings around the mounts.

Ugh, I’ve accidentally seen part of one of his vids. I find all these watch-my-mug-while-I-ramble-about-my-truck vids insufferable.
    Appreciate your reply tho!

    @padre

there were factory threads covered by tape/paint. no drilling on metal required; drilling on the rubber roof liner was needed.
i resealed with some rtv and double sided tape where it felt needed.

    Installed my Martin rack today.
Took about two hours which is very good considering I only have the use of one arm and my helper was my 10 year old daughter.

It was a very straightforward install and I’m happy with the product.

Does the Prinsu CabRack have t-milled cutouts for the t-slot access points similar to those found on the Frront Runner bars? Thanks
