Need help with the Baja Designs S8 light bar mounted up on my new Prinsu roof rack. I used the Prinsu brackets that came with the rack, and the light bar sits low and way back behind the wind deflector. I obviously want it sitting forward, and flush with the wind deflector cut out. What am I doing wrong?? I ordered the slim brackets from CaliRaised LED for the Prinsu, that may be the fix. Any and all suggestions are welcome.

I think the brackets are really made for the Wrath LED bars.

You may have better luck with the Cali mounts

While you are waiting for other options, will the bracket turn 180 degrees and mount on the other side? So the L goes out past the wind deflector? That way the light bar will sit on top of the wind deflector? idk random idea.

I used the CaliRaised brackets on my setup. I believe they will give you the look you're looking for

Try swapping your brackets around, move the Left to the Right side and vise versa. The little 'tail' will now be sticking up allowing you to raise the bar up. That would be what I would attempt.

Edit: If that doesn't work, swap out your mounting bolts with appropriately sized longer bolts and find the appropriate spacer from this list. I'd eyeball it at 1/2" rise but you'd be better to measure for exact fit.

Edit to an Edit: There might be a plus for having your light pushed back as to reduce glare off the hood.

Agree longer bolt with spacer looks to be an easy fix. Or if you have the metal & tools make one

Received the CaliRaised brackets today and worked perfectly. Light is sitting exactly where I wanted it. Looks so much better.

I may be anal but I’ve bought 2 different sets from caliraised and neither of them fit nice and flush and tight. Trying to avoid as many gaps as possible to keep wind noise down. Going to have to fabricate something unless anyone knows of a better mount.

I'm having the same issue. I hate the prinsu mount. No idea why they have it sitting so high and with a huge gap. I think your sits low because it was reversed but it's not much better either way. I'm happy to hear the caliraised prinsu brackets worked for you. I had heard they sit high with a 1 inch gap too so I haven't tried them. I just one the lightbar flush!

It seems like a lot of people have that issue. Good thing ours do not. Here they are if you want to check them out: https://caliraisedled.com/collections/2016-2021-toyota-tacoma-mounting-brackets. If you end up trying them, we would love to see pics! Let us know if you need anything, here to help:).

I would love to try them but I'm afraid they won't work and I'll be out another 40 bucks. the silver bar on the prinsu is not flush so most brackets don't line up correctly to get the carriage bolt through. And the ones that do sit way too high with a one inch gap or more. I want the lightbar flush with the wind deflector with no gap sadly

Here is the link to the product. Check out the photos and you can see how it sets up the light bar.

Looks great! I have a second gen and been having issues with mounting brackets not fitting the slot on my lightbar as well as the silver prinsu mounting bar. I didn't want to waste another 40 on something that wouldn't work because in this video it looked it like it only worked with flush bars and left a one inch gap https://youtu.be/6lLQHSE9-TY?si=Z0hMmYgwp--BEFE8

I want a flush lightbar on the wind deflector and wish I could try it before committing and being disappointed by another mount
