I have a Prinsu on mine.
Price was a major deciding factor. If you are patient and wait for a group buy you can save a few more dollars.
I bought mine bare metal and rattle-canned it (cheapest option and has suited my uses well).
    Shipping costs less too.

The aesthetics of the Prinsu are more appealing to me (lower profile) than the other options.
Just recently I added in (2) 1-1/8" diameter, round crossbars to utilize Yakima/Thule accessories.

That being said, Front Runner racks are nice due to the ability to move attachments/tie-downs from point-to-point without removing the crossbars.

I will have to re-paint my front cross bars in the near future and will attempt to modify bars to have drop-in points for accessories/tie-downs at that point.

I will throw my completely unbiased opinion on this.

Frontrunner makes an excellent product. I have seen many in person and the construction and materials are excellent. They are certainly one of the most robust racks out there and because they are a big company you get the benefit of more support, more accessories, and faster lead times. When I started looking for a rack I found them and really liked what I saw, until I saw the price.

When I started developing the PRINSU concept racks I started to realize that although price was the main factor why I couldn't go through the the Frontrunner. The other issue I had was the design itself. Its not a bad design, it is a great design, it just doesn't follow the lines of the vehicle as well as it could. So when I made mine I tried to make it match the vehicle a little better.

If you are the type of person that wants to buy a rack for a premium and have the ability to buy any accessory you could ever want for the same premium then frontrunner is the way to go. It is low involvement product.

If you like to tinker, make your own stuff, mod, and save money then PRINSU is a better fit.

The final pitch for PRINSU that some people care about and others don't is where the product comes from. My racks are 100% made in the USA by small local businesses and I will never change that even if it means I make a little less money.

You can't go wrong either way. Its like trying to compare Pelfreybilt vs Relentless vs CBI on armor. Each is a little different, each has pros and cons, each will be more appealing to different people.

I appreciate your "unbias" opinion very much! It's reasons like this that I enjoy this community.

In addition to the personal response and input, I give props to you for giving credit to another vendor and their product. A lot of these vendors seem to be great in their own ways. I chose to go with your PrinSu CabRack and claimed spot #100 on the group buy! Couldn't pass that deal. Thanks again!

I really enjoy giving my support to the vendors on this sight and the 100% made from Merica products. PrinSu makes a great product that lines the truck nicely for a great price, and they are made here! The exact reason my next purchase will be from Pelfreybilt... Now I just have to find the funds by the end of this month.

I've noticed that very few people run Front Runner's 1165 x 1560 on the long-bed shell vs Prinsu's option. Is there a reason for that? I did notice it seems like Prinsu's has better coverage of the shell (maybe a few inches longer?)

I scored my front runner gratis and like it (who wouldn't ) . The accessories are a tough bill to swallow but I've managed to figure out some DIY options for shovel and axe mounts with a little Amazon purchase here and some trips to Home Depot .... details to follow

So the racks aren't plug and play?
Are new holes, that are not already existing under the weather strip, needed to be punched?

On double cabs, there is already threaded holes for the Prinsu hardware but you just need to punch a hole through the weather stripping so the bolt will go through and you'll still be able to use your weather strip for its intended purpose

Love the look of the prinsu racks! Could anybody tell me what the load panels are for? Also I saw that load limits vary based on how many bars are used, but will one bar support over 100lbs? For examples would it be fine if I hooked up my hammock to a bar? Lastly has anybody fit 2 kayaks on top? If anyone set up a kayak mount which one did you use and did it require any mods? Thanks in advance!

6inch lift sitting on bilstein coilovers. Lexus is300 studs in front to keep stock wheels, general grabber red letters, nfab front bumper.
Does anybody know if a 37 inch spare will fit on the prinsu roof rack? I eventually want to go to 37s and I will be ordering a roof rack sometime in the next few weeks.

 I've had my Prinsu for awhile now and really like it. It's solid and clean looking. Haven't had a need to get too crazy with mounting options but I don't like carrying weight too high.

    IMG_1605.jpg

Like Ryan said, on Double cabs it's not too far from being plug and play. You do have to get through the steel wire on the weather stripping but the holes are there. I've seen build threads where guys put them on access cabs but it takes some drilling and intuition.

Cant speak for kayaks but I can tell you I have stood on my rack with no issues. Usually I like to spread the weight to at least two bars but I'm also 180ibs. You'd be fine with a hammack IMO

I want to say that the rack is 47" wide so you should be fine. That's a lot of weight to carry up high though.
