I see a TON of ppl owning the Prinsu. I can see why. I also see ppl recommending the UpTop overland rack as well. I think they both look extremely nice.

which one do you have? Please add pics! I would love to see your rig as well!

Any other rack brands you would recommend?

Running an uptop overland alpha. Have another alpha to go over my camper shell on order now. Would definitely recommend, and I’m much more fond of the design over prinsu’s, but that’s obviously subjective.

I watched Zachs original thread when he started designing the first Prinsu here on tw. I liked the clean simple look. Bought from the second group buy and it’s been the best mod. It outlived our 2005 and now into our 2017..

Just when you think prinsu is expensive, enter uptop.

Uptop Bravo. Cheaper than Prinsu. In my opinion, better than Prinsu. Hasn’t let me down. Plus the dudes that run it are cool as shit.

I like the options on a PrinSu along with the design. Very good quality too. 64B9AE7B-D6D8-4AB1-8681-24D983EA85C9.jpg

Only when I put on the rod holders. Other than that, none.

I second the aspect of looking at Victory 4x4 as an option. So much to like and they have free shipping as well as a middle bracket for more stability.

I have a Prinsu and to be honest, if I had to do it over again, I would go with Uptop Overland. The Uptop Bravo is cheaper than a Prinsu, and Uptop ships for free in the lower 48 states (~$150 price difference). I got my Prinsu at 15% off and still paid more compared to an Uptop Bravo.

I get some wind noise with my Prinsu, but it's magnified on windy days. I heard that Uptop wind noise is less than a Prinsu.

I went with Prinsu. The load panels are a must in my opinion as it gives you so many mounting options.69A46329-932E-4FA3-9751-5FED0EC2E94A.jpg

This is the best looking rack in my opinion. That price though, too rich for my blood.

I think most of us have only owned one or the other. So of course we're going to be partial to what we own because I'm certain most of us do a good amount of research before we buy something like this, like you are now.

That being said, I have a Victory rack. I am completely happy with it and it supports all my needs. They have a lot of supporting mods for their rack as well. I'm sure I would be able to accomplish the same thing with a Prinsu or an Uptop Overland rack. Personally, the Uptop rack is a bit busy to me in the looks department.

Did you get yours color matched? Did the site offer that or did you do that yourself? Looks nice.

Yep - they offer color matching options on the alpha racks. It's as expensive as any powder coating add-on with other armor you buy. However, given how much of a pain in the ass it is to install racks on the access cabs, i figured i'd go with my optimal build the first and only time.
