Wow, this looks exactly what I want! I am taking full advantage of the 10pct discount currently at Uptop due to Memorial day weekend. I also was thinking about this problem, and thanks to you, I have a solution. where did you get these L-Brackets from? I am going to do this build as well!

    Thanks!

One of the reasons I decided on The UpTop personally is it's all aluminum. My coworker has one of the Victory bed racks and rust is a constant battle.

I went with UpTop as well and like you, I can’t be happier.

Although I have steel bed bars and the moment I put them on they started to rust. I put some Turtle wax Hybrid Solutions ceramic spray on them and I’m not seeing nearly the rust as I was. Just a thought that might help your coworker.

Mind explaining why it's not an issue? Elsewhere on TW forums I've heard of Prinsu racks bending due to a hammock. What specifically makes Uptop different in this regard?

what headlights are you running and would you recommend them? I do lots of night time strolls in the bush for reference.

@upTOPoverland, I ordered a Bravo Ex Tacoma Rack and had a question about solar panel sizing.

This rack is 70.5"x50". Is there a certain size of panel that'll fit particularly well? Basically, I'm choosing between getting a long/thin panel to run parallel to the truck on one side of the rack (my first two solar panel options are 42"x20" or 65"x26") or a panel that's a bit longer than 50" to install perpendicular to the truck on the front or back of the rack (my third option is 52"x26").

I know the inside crossbars shift a couple inches in either direction, so maybe your answer is that any of these sizes would fit equally well. Any thoughts would be great thanks!
