The cost of Aluminum is actually going down and has dropped by about 20% over the last year, it's pretty average over the course of the last 10 years.

I see more shops close because they are greedy and price themselves out of the market. When was the last time you saw the cost of a product genuinely decrease based on the economy...prices always go up which is what drives higher labor, higher insurance, etc

Tell that to the company that delivers our 5x10 sheets and extrusion

We do only buy US steel and Aluminum (sometimes Canada depending on supply) so that does effect our pricing. China's excess of cheap (quality and price) aluminum has been messing up the market for a few years now. Plus until recently there weren't many US smelters. It's been weird.

Chicken or the egg I guess. But we know to the dollar the COGS on our products and I can tell you they aren't overpriced. Any other market would see our profit margins and laugh

Sounds like you need to source a new supplier because that right there is a perfect example of why business go under. If you think Aluminium is going up then you have other issues.

The aluminium extrusion Prinsu sells for $44 I can literally buy the same piece for $20...

And they have to pay for credit card processing, packaging, & labor to get it to you. Plus they have to offer it to their dealers at a profitable price for both of them.

So do the wholesalers that that process the credit card, the packaging and labor to get it to me.

Alright, I received my Victory roof rack on Friday and I was fortunate enough to be able to install it last night as well.

First impressions were great! Everything came well packaged and protected!

Laid everything out and lined it up and bolted it together. Everything went pretty smooth.

Once I had it all together, installed it on the roof with a little help from a friend. And bolted it down and that was that. Looks pretty great I must say! Quality and build is top notch!

I’m extremely pleased with the rack and happy I came across this company! I would definitely recommend them!

The only issue I had during the entire install process was the provided bolts for the light bar brackets, were the wrong length. They’re 3/4” and I needed 1/2” long screws to properly secure the brackets. So I had to run to Lowe’s and pick up ones that would work.

Other then that, everything went together as it should and I look forward to adding to this rack and using it quite a bit over the summer! Excellent job Victory! @monkeyevil

What light bar are you using? I’m planning on a caliraised slim. Hoping it will fit.

Awesome! Glad to hear the install went well and all the time and materials we spend on package engineering got it there safe

We actually had an issue with bolt packs in the first round of accessory mounts, but it has since been solved. Sorry for the hassle!

Here is how I recommend running the wires under the hood. For final wiring I'd use what the light manufacturer recommends, but maybe to one of the Toyota reproduction style switches you can get everywhere. Or use this as an excuse to install a Switch Pros or SPOD. They make future wiring jobs so easy.
