I just bought my 96 tacoma and the left leaf spring is broken :goingcrazy: YIKES! So I've been looking at ordering new ones, and I found some on e-bay from a manufacturer named Pro-Comp... Does anyone know anything about the quality of their products, or any specific questions I should ask them about the leaf's?

Pro-comp is a fairly reliable company, although I would still be hesitant about buying stuff like that on ebay..

I've called all the local Junk yards and NONE of them have any. B&R (local wrecking yard) said they could find me some but they were $150 each! Might as well get new ones for that price! Craigslist is a good idea though... I'm new to this kinda stuff and I wasn't really sure that people got rid of their stock leaf's since getting leaf+lift replacers are crazy expensive and from what I could tell are generally custom made... I just assumed people saved their cash and got add-a-leaf's...

Will the leafs work crossing from standard cab to extended cab?

I would think so. Craigslist and a few forums are good places to check.

    BTW, Welcome to TW!

Thanks! I have loads upon loads to learn and this place is a great source of info! Someone just pointed out the leaf's on e-bay are 3" lifts, so they wouldn't work for me... Sucks buying a Yota and having to turn around and drop money on mechanical stuff instead of cool add on stuff!! :annoyed:

they should be the same, but double ck... just measure how long yours are from eye to eye and then measure the standard cab's.
