$3500 of that was the replacement cost of the OE pro grille.

Damage sucks, glad everybody is okay. I was just noticing the other day how far away the bumper is from the radiator and engine.

If this was a joke, I hope u r the only one that finds it funny. Hitting a deer is a f’ed up thing and tons of people die from it. Luckily these people were unharmed.

It was clearly a joke. And people die from lots of things. Lighten up.

Really close to the trans cooler though. I have told the shop NUMEROUS times that is damaged and yet they still haven’t submitted a supplement to replace.

You’ll get it back, keep receipts and submit them to insurance. Mine is even covering the matte black nox-lux badge overlays they would have to replace after blending the door

Yeah, I agree, lighten up. I'm not offended by a little deer-hitting humor. I've hit many deer and while it's not pleasant, my life was never in danger. Around here the bigger danger is hitting a range-land cow, a moose or an elk. Hit a 750 lb animal at 60 mph and your truck WILL be totaled.

Anyway, it's not a question of if, but when, I will be in the same situation as the OP. Hope the repair is painless and fast.

Zip tied the braces back on ... Both headlight tabs on each side are broken too... Good thing for zip ties ! Haha.

Mines metal and it still would have bent like a tin can!

A bull bar could have made it worse, they way they mount to the front end usually makes them a damage multiplier...they get easily crushed backward and do more carnage that way. Though if it's a low enough impact speed it would probably help. A steel bumper will do a much better job at protecting the front end.

Seriously thinking about after this repair is made of trading on a '18 4Runner Pro... Talk me into or out of it.

4Runners are nice too, if you don't need a bed it would be a solid choice.

I don't really need the bed. As a firefighter it would be nice to have a place to keep my bunker gear etc.
I'm sorta torn by the color choices for 18 on the Pro.. I've already had a blue truck... Not sure about the white.. so I'd have to go with the black... Which is beautiful clean..just a pain in the nuts to keep it that way.

Same with mine, even after being tossed across 2 lanes and run over by the driver side wheels of a car coming in the opposite direction. Thing was a bruiser.

We have had an explosion of white tail around here as well and I have to avoid them at least once a week. It got me thinking of this video i saw from B.C. Canada last year.
