Hey all, I got the TRD pro grill and garnish (both knock off) and now I'm getting the light telling me the front crash detection isn't working. I double checked all the wiring and it looks good. Do i need to buy the oem garnish to fix this, or is there some sort of reprogramming I need for the new sensor location?

On my 2018 OR, I moved the TSS from the center of the grill down to the same location as the PRO, when I went with an aftermarket grille. I did not need to reprogram. I will note however, there is only a plain piece of polycarbonate covering my sensor.

I bought a fake one off eBay that was tripping the sensor on my 2020 OR, I replaced it with this one from Taco Garage and no longer have an issue.

I bought one from mad hornet that was crap. Constantly giving the light. I bought another knock off from Amazon with good ratings and it's fine. You will most likely need to drive few miles in it though. Like couple hundred

Are you guys using the OEM garnish? I just put a plastic piece (glued cut piece of a license plate holder) over the sensor and never had an issue. Sensor is looking for consistency (cover) as far as I can tell. I have a 2018

I have a cheap $100 pro knock off with a spare front license plate plate as a cover....looking for a pic

Ughhhh. Sorry bad pics before and after. No issues....you just need something to evenly cover the sensor

Yes, I've only had the light come on twice since all this. One was in some really heavy rain and the other was driving down a really wide dirt road. I didn't do a reprogram or anything like that.
