No it's the only way you can do it. They give you a fuse tap to tie into, but there is only a relay for the DRL so you have to splice directly into it. Thats if you want them connected to your DRL's.

Anybody install the ABS grill with built in Raptor lights?

Looks cool in pictures, but not sure about the material.[IMG]

So if you want them synched with your headlights (not the DRLs) then you can just use the fuse tap?

Yes, you can link them to either DRL's by splicing into the wire or headlights through fuse tap.

No photo of wiring, I looped lights together and spliced into amber light next to driver side head light.

Do you recall what color wire you spliced into? I spliced into the peach color which connects to the hot wire. However, they don’t fire up with just the DRLs. I have to go up to auxiliary in order for them to come on.

For anyone who has wired these into the amber lights in the headlights. This maybe a dumb question but they don’t blink when the turn signal is applied correct? Can I just wire them directly into the wire for the amber light so they are on whenever the setting below the headlights are on. I don’t care if they are on for the DRL setting but if they hate that’s fine too.

I ran my wire inside the truck and used a add-a-fuse to the 12v plug fuse and they turn on with the truck and stay in no matter what light setting I’m in. I hate splicing factory wiring cause I know good and well if anything happens to the truck and I take it to the dealership they’ll blame the wire even if it’s not related

Mine are actually ford side marker lights from the raptor, they stick out a little bit, but look good imo.
