That's also the thing that may come into play. If he wants to do the full '24 WSX series, then I am not sure if he will find a US-based ride. Because those team are likely not going to give a guy a ride here for just SX and then have him transition to WSX in the summer. So he might just end up not on a US-based team either. It will be interesting.

Oh that totally changes my perspective. I thought Malcom was/has always (for the most part of his career) been SX only.

I'll refrain from the white bike banter now :D

He had been in years prior. The Husky deal is for both series. This year he was off due to a knee injury and came back for the last few. But for '23 he and Craig are expected to race both series. There was also talk of RJ making the jump up to the 450 for next year's outdoors. He actually almost did this past year. So I guess that is always something we can keep an eye out for, as a possibility.

I can't wait for MXON. I know it's still early in the week but I am getting hyped up.

Also, on the bike front, I am thinking about doing the Star exhaust/sidepanel mod. You can buy a similar replica of the heat shield that Star uses on the FMF 4.1 and then remove the lower parts of the sidepanels. It makes the bike feel more slim. I already bought the protectors for that area, which is give/take because it keeps it from getting beat but actually makes it wider. So Star and some teams just remove the whole section. Thoughts? It's 1 of those things, not needed but I'm intrigued. And since I can't ride much, I'm bored and want to mess with my bikes lol.

Definitely do it. I think it makes the bike look so much better, not even considering width difference. I was going to do something similar on the KTM and pull the frame guard on that side. Only problem is there's no guard/separation if I do.

Ya, i think im going to. Been tossing the idea around for a while. *Edit: ordered the heat shield 1st thing this morning lol.

I actually hate those frame gaurds on the KTM/Huskys. I hated the stock ones and then bought the Acerbis ones that Webb had (at the time.) Ran those for a year and finally just yanked those. I was missing the pegs when landing from jumps (i move around a lot on the bike.) I feel like the little grip stickers were the way to go. Just took a lot of work keeping it clean looking. This was when i first installed them. But if you hate the gaurds, it's an option. 20210114_162540.jpg

@AJH387 do you know where to watch MXDN? Is it going to be streamed free anywhere online?

If you have the MXGP package, you can watch through there. Or, if you have access to the CBS Sports channel, the 3 main races will be live on there. I get that thru my cable provider. But i think certain streaming services can maybe get the channel as well.

I might sign up for cbs sports. I think I saw you can sign up a week for free. I'll have to look into it, but I can't watch until Sunday.

All mounted. I'm a fan of the looks. Feels thinner at that section too. I'm done with mods for a while now lol.20220922_180306.jpg

Way better than my view today at the office. Looks like you practically have the whole place to yourself.

Nice. So they hold weekday practices there? Man, I wish High Point did that. Would be awesome to just hit up a National track whenever for practice.

Conditions were great today after precip from last night. Unfortunately I can't catch a break and ended up breaking my collar bone today

Floated right on the big triple towards the end of the day and ended up missing the landing a bit, and fell into a little depression in the hillside which brought me to a complete stop and piled up. Pretty bummed to be laid up for a while again.

Shit! That is a bummer. Sorry to hear. Glad you didnt get any more hurt. Still that is rough. Hate to hear it. Unfortunately it's part of the sport. Part of why I haven't ridden much this year. With a baby expected in a few weeks, just didn't want to risk something like that. How's the bike? Hopefully it's not too beat up either.

I'm just doing vet track when I ease my way back into track riding. Hopefully this year I'll do a bit of track practice.
