Sustained a concussion and also has mono. And people on his social media are saying they've lost all respect for him lol. This is a crazy world we live in.

 

Yes, completely ridiculous. Sure, being frustrated that an already thin field is now losing 1 of the top guys, I get it. Being frustrated that Jett has very little competition and the title battle is potentially uninteresting, I get it. But nothing Chase can do about it. He got hurt, he's not feeling well etc. Any bad vibes directed at him personally is asinine. But nothing surprises me, these days. Also, just think for a second and imagine Chase just sitting out, if he could be out there. It would never happen. I'm sure he wants to be out there as much as anything. He just missed winning this title last year and had a great shot at getting it this year. If he could line up, he would lol.

 

Rough start to the season.

I’m glad that Deegan is bringing some excitement.

 

250s are awesome. 450s is as to be expected. Cali tracks suck though. I think these next 2 rounds will be more fun for passing and overall track conditions.

 

What do you guys think about the half time. It makes for a ridiculously long broadcast at 4.5 hrs. That can’t be too great for viewership. That’s the reason why people stop watching mlb baseball and nascar. It’s just too damn long.

 

It's definitely a long haul for couch spectators. Still better than watching NASCAR, which runs about the same amount of time start to finish. Going to a pro moto in person really gives a different perspective/appreciation for it.

 

I feel like it's a bit of a no-win situation. The half time helps the teams and riders. It allows the crew to touch up the track etc. So those are all good things. The bad thing, like you said, is making a long program even longer. But with 2 classes featured and a 2 moto format, that's always been the give and take for Outdoors. It's a great, purist type of event. It makes for a horrible tv slot because of the time schedule.

 

I would rather have the long day and be able to see all 4 moto's than go back to the 1st moto highlights and show the 2nd moto's only.

 

Absolutely. But that mostly is possible because of Peacock / streaming apps more than anything. The reason they used to do the 1st moto highlights and then show the live 2nd motos was they just couldn't get that big of a chunk of time on a network tv channel. So the halftime doesn't really change that.

 

So, How many many races will Jett win? All of them?

 

Probably. I don’t think anyone else even has a chance unless he gets injured.

 

Unless Sexton shows up, Jett will dominate. It's boring to watch this year.

 

Went camping this weekend instead of going to the race. Forgot to set my picks in Pulp. Apparently didn't miss much lol.
