Those 450s were spicy all day.

    250 last moto awesome.
Good battles the whole time. Wish you could see what the elevation is like over the tv. Looks easy on the tv.

I was really hoping RD5 would have podiumed. It'll happen soon.

Looked like Plessy blew his knee out in Moto 2. Curious to see what comes of it.

Hey guys. Great day of racing. Perfect weather and track conditions, for that place. My picks were way off but that is to be expected lol. Bad day for the Star 250s, but good for the Lawrences. Mosiman in the first moto looked so fast though. 450s were awesome. Good day for Eli. RD is really getting back up to his normal speed, it's incredible to see. Chase was flying in that 1st moto too. I was down supporting our buddy Vinnie and he ran inside the top 10 in both motos in his first pro 450 race. He finished 18/22 for 20th, which was amazing. The kid works hard and is super fast, so hopefully he picks up some team support. Also, that might've been 1 of the most packed that I've seen that place. Was pretty insane. We got down there early because we had 2 friends racing, but ppl we met up w/ that came in normal time, said they waited over an hour to get in, it was backed up w traffic. Crazy.

Supposedly AP tweaked his ankle but is racing Redbud, from what I heard.

I've raced at that place a ton. Was talking to my friend's dad about that. You see it on TV and it looks a certain way. You see it in person and it's even more steep (big) and then when you are on the bike it's another level beyond that lol. I hear people say that about the hills at Glen Helen also (which I haven't ever been there.) But ya, the ups and downs in the valley at High Point are very steep and fast. It can be scary at race pace because it always gets rutty and can bite you.

I don't race, but I've rode Glen Helen a few times. It gets me thinking about the downhill. Passing downhill would be a giant nope for me.

Lol ya it can be sketchy I'm sure. I think High Point probably ruts up worse than GH but still takes some guts to send it up and down those steep hills at either place.

Watching Highpoint again cause I'm too wired after the Avs game.

250 Moto 2 is truly a display of progression. The Lawrence boys are in a league of their own, so cool to watch them push eachother each moto. I was pretty critical of Hunter still learning and not leading during the Supercross series, but his MX2 experience shines in the outdoors. That track was beat to a pulp.

Really cool they kept the camera on them after the race. Hunter needed a few minutes to calm down. I would of been pretty pissed if I couldn't pass my brother

Probably why they are both such good riders. They give the whole 250 class a run for their money.

I think Honda was super smart signing both of them, because they will keep pushing themselves to beat each other in practice and races improving their speed and endurance.

It's certainly an interesting dynamic. Those 2 are clearly at the top level right now. It kind of annoys me that Cooper is not really back to full health (which is totally understandable) and no JMart all year. Because those 2 guys had the speed to make it interesting last year. I have to think a healthy Cooper and Martin change everything. Also, if Craig would've still been down on the 250s. Not taking credit away from the brothers, but we all know who the top guys are and they aren't on the gate to even challenge the Hondas. So I think those 2 are going to push each other all year for the title and then just see if any of the other guys can get a moto win here and there. Kitchen, Shimodo, Hammaker etc. Would be nice even to have Forkner in the mix. When healthy, he has speed to win. Mosiman has the speed but also a 90% chance of crashing, same with Hampshire when he's "on."

Speaking of talent not racing, anyone heard anything about Dyl Fernando lately? Been radio silence for about a month since he pulled out of the series for thumb surgery.

I don't know that he is even on the bike right now. If so, I haven't seen anything about it. I feel like he will probably be back before the end of the year, but who knows. I would assume he would want to race MXON.

I'll have to listen at some point. Does he touch on why he left Husky right before LL qualifying? I don't read too much into him not being on Star. He is still technically the Factory Am effort so it's not a downgrade, really. I'm sure if all is well when he wants to go pro, Star would try to make room for him. Imagine him, Kitchen, Deegan, Romano and Leblanc all on the Pro 250 team lol. That's a big list of high-profile Ams on 1 team.

At contract time he rode a Yamaha and Kawasaki. Liked those bikes better. Yamaha was easier to talk to. Think his dad knew a few people there.

That's about gist of it. Said it was all mutual, too. I still think Husky was against a wall and didn't have a spot to bump Evan up faster than he thinks he should. Time will tell.
