Sell my truck for, let's say $15k, more than what I owe. Assuming the Pro with everything I want is $50k OTD, I throw down $15k and end up with the same monthly payment on my loan. Sure, I'll restart the clock, but I'll have the new features like Android Auto, TSS, etc.

Gotcha, I didn't realize you were referring to monthly payments, if you wait till the initial rush for 2020's is over you should be able to get a better deal.

I was being overly simplistic of course. But I definitely plan on haggling. I'm not going to let them know I'm not trading in, throwing a down payment, nor will I let them know I'll be using my credit union over their bank. I will only discuss an out the door price and that's it. I don't mind waiting for the right deal either but I already have the dealership picked out. There's one close by me that has free oil changes for life and a 200k mile drivetrain warranty. Isn't as good a powertrain but it's not bad. And I've been taking to one of the people in sales now for a few months, told her I'll use her when the 2020 comes out if she can get me a good deal. I'm not going to low ball them by any means, but I'm not talking the first few offers I receive, I'm sure.

Happens all the time. Kind of sounds like an air leak squeak?

I weighed both options before settling on the O.R. I didn't want Leather, but would have loved the extra 1" suspension Lift.

The PRO is hardly worth the extra $$$$

No longbed option will always keep me from considering a Pro.

I've had a shortbed Tacoma before, never again.

Truck cap , husky liners, deflector shield, ARE truck cap.
The OR model was available in long bed so that’s why I didn’t get a PRO.

Something wrong with that gas mileage. I'm getting 18-19 consistently unless I decide to drive like I stole it.

I don't know about paying 47k for the Pro. Seems like a lot. I paid 41k for mine and that seemed like a lot.

Damn, there are a lot of these threads. Let me boil them down:

Damn the Pro looks cool! But if saving every penny is priority, it's not worth it.

    I sure love mine

If there are a million threads link them, please. I was just trying to help those that may be thinking about a 2020 purchase or trade. I would also be interested to know what others are saying :)

Agree with OP with the exception of the Pro Fox suspension. I have an OR which I turned into a Pro+, and Fox suspension made quite a difference. OR Billies are too soft and bottomed out at every attempt to take on a steep driveways faster than 5mph. They were also not much fun to drive on windy roads. Foxes on the other hand excel by quite a bit over Billies in every possible situation.
As far as value goes, OR is a better deal than a Pro. It cost me somewhere around $4k to make my OR a Pro (less the hood), and the best part was I got it in the color I really wanted, not what Toyota's trying to push on.
