I have a set of 17" SCS Bronze Wheels with BFG Ko2 285/70/17 tires from a previous 4Runner. I swapped them on the PRO today but have some rubbing( I expected this just wanted to see them on the ride). I do NOT want to swap out the factory suspension but need to weigh my options to eliminate the rub....

    1) Add 1/2" spacer (I know this is not the best method just throwing it out there as an option). Saw some spacers from Headstrong that seemed like they would work. If I do a 1/2" spacer would I need to lift the rear or would I level out? Don't want that bro lean going on

    2) scale down the tire size to 275/65 or 70/17 BFG Ko2

    3) do some trimming where it rubs

    4) keep the Pro wheels and upsize the tires to a A/T for a beefier look.

    Let me know your thoughts!

Option 5, remove the front mud flaps and retest.

Mudflaps have been removed. Still rubs on inner plastic wheel well (outer portions front & rear) on turns and backing up. You can see in 1 of the pics where its touching. I'm sure i can shave some of it down. What about any off-road clearance issues when suspension is under more stress?
