It was mainly the front end I wanted to tame. I'll be trading the 4Runner in on a tundra I'm sure in 3 years. At time of purchase I wonder what cost would be on pro grill/grill surround/colour matched bumpers?

Your interior is so much nicer than the trd cloth! Nice truck! Interior space is huge in the crewmax!

Sounds to me like you have 100 miles of driving 'till you finalize a deal on a Tundra. Might wanna get on that - tick tock! LOL!

if you can't attached a trailer or reverse one yourself...maybe you shouldn't be driving with a trailer...
same view on that park assist shit. if you can't park a vehicle on your own, you shouldn't be driving.

Just kidding anyway. ;) Though I do love my Tundra...

Six months - man, I had my Tacoma 6.5 years, planned to keep it 'till 10 years at least. Probably have the Tundra a decade too - it takes me a long time to get 'em how I like 'em. :)

Unless the Tundy gets competitive with the Dodge ecodiesel, which I don't expect.

    Not even a real comparison.

If you're too fuckin stupid to know how to properly reverse a trailer you're too stupid to know how to handle one at speed and are a danger to everyone else.
Seriously we keep making cars easier and easier to drive.
Has either of these countries (canada and US) ever thought of making it a bit harder to get licensed so all these dumb cunts aren't on the road?
In some european countries they start training 3 years before they can even drive on open roads. As well as winter driving etc

Before you know it with all these fancy things you'll have idiots going out and buying f150s or f250s and putting a fully loaded trailer on it because the computer did all the hook up and reverse for them, then they'll go drive on the highway not understanding how much more weight they have, and follow too closely.
That's if they can even drive without having the trailer fishtail on them since they're also too stupid to know how to properly balance a trailer.

Back on the original topic, to me that's just one more gimmicky thing to go wrong. And on a Ford, well, it just might.

    not saying you specifically are.
But we keep making cars with all these fancy gadgets that can reverse a trailer or hook one up for you.
But if it isn't going to drive for you with that trailer properly just helping make our roads be even more dangerous.

Seriously I don't support the idea that you can hook up any trailer to your car with your standard license. You should need a separate license to do so.

    Maybe on a Ford

When I learned to drive people didn't want electric windows or ac in fear of things breaking

    Time moves on

I tow my race cars and bikes to track 10-12 times a year
    Been doing it since 1999

However it was the first time I saw this, in person and thought it was pretty cool.

Then again I have done the tesla sedan autopilot feature and thought that was cool too

I've owned a few new vehicles so far in my life, and the one thing I find Toyota lacks is choice. Yes this trailer back up thing is gimmicky, but at least domestic manufacturers (trucks) give you the option to have things you want. In Canada at least, you buy a trd off road Tacoma, that's what you get, no extra no less. Build a ram, f150 or Sierra/Silverado and you can add options/packages until you're blue in the face. I like this method a lot better. My opinion of course.
