I bought my Taco about 2 months ago. It is a 2004 DC 4x4. I'm going to be using it for my EDD as well as all my outdoor adventures (hunting, fishing, camping, ect.). With that said, I'm not going to be doing much "serious" off-roading (rock climbing, hill climbing, ect.) but I expect to see many mudholes and tricky trails so I will keep that in mind for this build. This will be a long term build as I will do little things here and there as I need them.

Since buying it I have added a spray-in bed liner and repared a small minor rust area on the body where some paint chipped off. My uncle helped me with this.

Last week I bought a used Leer 100XQ topper and I've been spending some time getting everything wired up for the 3rd brake light/dome light. Brake light works fine but dome light isn't working so I'm currently problem solving through this issue.

    Pictures of topper coming soon...

The connecter was bad so I had to replace with this:

Here is how I made a constant 12V power source:

I went with OME 2.25" leaf packs in the rear and Freedom Offroad 1"-4" adjustable coilovers in the front. The truck is sitting with about a 1" rake which is what I like.

Hello my friend, Im happy for you and your luck of purchase, may I ask you a ? about your topper referencing post dated 4/3/2019, I'm want to ask what are the LEER 100XQ dimensions??? did it fit perfectly onto your bed? Im assuming the dementions were rather odd due to the double cab,, My overall dementions measured on the top of the bed are 62" Long X 60" Wide does this sound familiar? for i would love to find a LEER for my 2004 TACO, Thx for your help/reply your friend Dobbin
