All trucks that are out of warranty by either mileage or time or both are handled on a case by case basis if there is no past complaint logged on the vehicles records prior to the TSB being issued, so it is worth a try, but they will not automatically just agree to do it on an out of warranty truck. If Angus_NB's truck was purchased in late 05/early 06 and is not out on the mileage, he should get no hassle, and needs to find another dealer that will not give problems.

If the truck was purchased used, doesn't it fall under the 7yr/100,000 mile warranty? And as such, still be eligible for the rear leaf TSB? If so, that's a "free" fix to see if it helps. If not, then spend your own money on new leafs, AAL's, air bags, whatever.

The TSB is for 3years/36K miles, but it is worth a try to see if Toyota will approve it. The remainder of the factory warranty is good on a used truck also, but it may be harder to get the dealer to be interested in doing it on a truck someone has only owned 3 months when there are people who have owned the trucks 2-3 years. If Toyota puts the truck on the lift, inspects it and it is turned down, then the customer has to pay for the labor for the inspection.
