My advice, never use a pressure washer within your engine bay. Get something to scrub it off.

It's hard to help someone who doesn't have sense enough to check out a vehicle before purchasing. Anyone can be fooled, but the OP overlooked blatantly obvious issues. What he's presented thus far is likely just the tip of the iceberg.

You can offer you expert advise if you like.

Lol. What gives your expert opinion the insight that just because I had a power steering pump go out that it means I have other problems?

You can pressure wash it with a 25-40 degree tip from an 1800 gpm washer.

Got the power steering pump and one of the hoses replaced yesterday. I got the 5100s all the way around, OME 885s, and toytec add a leaf put on this morning along with some 285/70/17 ko2s. Thanks for the help guys.

Could have a leaky crankshaft seal as well, when mine was leaking there was oil all over the steering rack where the oil was slinging off.

As far as cleaning it, you really need some hot water. I'm fortunate (or not) that my washer connections are in my garage, I just hook a hose to it and run it outside. Hot water and degreaser will get that off pretty quickly.

Thanks to everyone who actually helped out. All the negativity is typical I guess. In every crowd there is always someone who thinks they are perfect and don't make mistakes. Obviously I should have caught the issue before buying the truck.... but I didn't. My mistake and I learned from it and next time I'll do better.
