So, considering we are soon going into October and winter on the way, freezing temps..etc etc etc.

I had an issue last winter i dont want to see a repeat of. I had Ice build up drivers door at the bottom front corner (see pictures) They have lets this little cup in the worse place and water freezes in this area pictured and when you try to open door it literally bends the bottom of the door at one of its weakest points.

I was thinking of drilling a small drain hole or 2 at the point i pictured with the arrow and paint. Unless someone else has an idea that doesn't require me drilling hole into my truck body for drainage.

maybe spray the area with fluid film, I wouldn't drill any holes in the body cause then you risk rust starting in those areas...just saying..

Would fluid film stop the Ice Build up that could damage my door? Im trying to find a way to stop water from collecting in the cupped area creating a block of ice that literally was bending the bottom corner of my door outward.

not sure about that? but anything that is slick may prevent water from initially filling in the area and may prevent the ice buildup, an easy way to find out, spray it liberally before winter and see what happens, but I have never been keen on drilling holes in a vehicle...

I would not drill any holes either, try waxing the area to minimize it. Before we have ice storms I use blue painters tape around the doors so no water gets in there.

I have a 2nd gen. However, on mine there are drain holes under there. I suspect yours are full of leaf litter etc.
