Yes they will if they are contacting the mount.

My suggestion. Get new misalignments. They should be 1.5". Measure the distance between your LCA shock tabs just to be sure. Mine transferred right over as they were the same distance between stock LCA's and Dirt King lowers so your should be the same.

While you will be doing this, I would also highly suggest you get the 14" Eibach's. The 14" spring will only benefit you.

You know what. Your clicking could also be from the sway bar links as well. Ensure the links are tight and do not have excess movement on them outside of their usual rotational capabilities.

If he removed it, then even better. one less item to check off the list of usual suspects.

Could his coils be so short that if he hits a bump the coils become loose and make a clanking noise when resettling?

No. His coils are not binding, nor would they make noise when resettling. If they were binding he would feel it, but you would likely never hear it per se.

True. I'm not sure how his coil over being attached to the LCA the way it is would make that noise. Mine are the same way and I have no problems. As far as the picture with the uca bolt to the spindle, it looks loose so that may be causing the noise.

    Check out my build thread.
Ive been having the same problem since I installed my fox 2.5 coilovers. Ive checked every torque on the front end multiple times. I still get the clunking sound. The offset where it connects to the LCA is what I thought the noise was. I looked for dents or scraps but can't find anything. The UCAs are not hitting the spring, the spring isn't turning Ive marked it and then took it offroad and it was still lined up. I can't figure it out so if you find the solution please let me know.

Remember. The ball joint nut should not be pressed on there so tightly, because if it is what can happen is it can apply so much pressure to the point where the joint can pop out so as long as it is tight, and has the cotter pin running through he is fine, because the nut will not back out.

Remember, you have Icon's. These are Sway- Away's. Identical in design, but regardless, should not touch the mounts.

I'm a little baffled how you guys manage to get these weird problem's on your trucks. Let me ask you guys this, does the problem occur all the time when going in forward and reversem or does it only happen once when you go either way, then it goes away?

Mine only occurs when going over bumps offloading. never while on highway or going from forward to reverse.

It happens in both direction only when I hit a bump, small pothole, washboards, but when it's smooth paved roads it rides like a dream

I had the clanking noise on my truck with my OME set up.....but then again lower bushings were shot.

The metal sleeve moved around very easily.

I just got the email's OP. Holy crap, that sounds really bad!

Now that I heard that sound, it sounds exactly as I stated before. Your spring sounds like it's jumping.

Do me a favor as well as yourself. Jack it up to where it lifts the tires off the ground. Take the spring and attempt to rotate it. If it feels loose or wiggles in there, that's your problem.

I cannot stress enough how important proper bearing placement is when it comes to installing shocks or coilovers are. If they are off center, you are going to have problems. The same can be said about improper spring sizes.

When I turn it jacked up or on the ground it just moves that 1/8th of an inch in the LCA mount that's it, it feels solid and in there, the spring doesn't move, just everything as a whole moves on the spherical bearing until it stops on the LCA mount

so the misalignment spacers should solve that problem?

All of you guys are hitting the LCA mounts in general. You and Tyndall. That's a problem you guys should address anyways. As for that sound. Can you get a GoPro in there? It's really hard to address it when I can't tell what is going on in there other then compressing and rebounding.
