That sounds like a spring issue over a miss alignment spacer issue

Exactly. I swear it's jumping in there from being too short.

OP. Just for kicks. Mark your spot on your coilovers, then crank down on the adjuster some more, maybe half an inch more. After you've done that, take it for a spin, if your problem went away, problem solved, and you know you will need a taller spring.

Or if you don't want to do that jack up your truck again and take a measurement at the top hat down to the eyelet of the coil over itself (extended), then take a measurement of the spring itself at the extended height as well. The more I look at it the more it looks like that spring is way too short for that coil over body.

    Check out my build thread.
I think it is the springs. What springs do you recommend? I i can figure out how to mount a go pro in there ill try to take it for a spin just to confirm. I will have to get the correct backspacing as well.

but if i compress the spring so much how could it jump around? its sitting at 22 1/2 inches right now so thats a 2" lift, there are a really good amount of threads showing

14" springs. Everytime. They are what the stock TRD spring heights are and they allow for dramatically less preload due to the extra inch they have over 13 inchers.

I found when setting up a proper entry to even advanced level MT setup, it is best to play within the rules of stock limitations to get the most out of it without noise or issues. This applies to everything from spring sizes(14"), to setting up air bumps (set to stock bump stop frame mount zone) to even overall shock stroke. (I have a 6.53" stroke shock but am only currently utilizing 5.5" of overall stroke (x2 on that stroke gets me 11" travel). Being good with a tape measure is only half the battle, to get good for tuning purposes, you should be good at math as well, but I digress.

Doesn't matter, you are compressing it then drooping it back out, if there is not enough preload on the coil from the getgo it will bounce in there.

The amount of threads showing are directly proportionate to the size spring you are running. The shorter the spring, the more threading which will need exposure. Which is why I never recommend a 13". If you are going to play with anything on a spring, play with the spring rate, not the size of it. Even then, a 700# spring is what I would recommend to someone who is fully armored in front, and has a winch as well.

14" 650# spring on my setup. Look how much threading is exposed. Only 1.25"

So i should look into new springs then, is it bad driving around with how it is now? and how hard is it to swap out the springs when i get them

Spring compressor is what you will need. It might be a pain in the ass to crank them down after they are installed. If you want to you could try to get them installed already cranked down to 1" of preload, which would equal 2" of lift. It might be hell to get the springs on though. (ask me how I know). I would strongly discourage offroading for the time being. Around town you should be ok, try to stay away from huge droop outs. The only thing I could foresee being a problem is the spring allowing too much bounce at one point and allowing the bottom spring perch to slide out, then you would be screwed and that would be a bad day. Your call. Personally, the more I think about it, I would not do it.

For your own sake, as I previously suggested. Check EVERYTHING you have touched and ensure it is tight. You have to eliminate everything you can out of the equation. If you have a skid plate, make sure that is tight too and not bouncing around.

Let me take a picture of my lower mount shock spacers.

Every bolt I touched to remove the stock coilover is tight, the sway bar is out so all of those mounts are gone, it's just the UCA bolt and coilover mounting bolts and they are torqued down

Yep. Gotta be your spring then. I need measurement on how compressed that spring is at droop out still.

^ this. With a spring too short it could come lose and cause your whole from drivers side or passenger side to give out and would Tate a ton of stuff up under your truck.

The spring measurement with the wheel off the ground. Top to bottom, from where the coil is flat up top, to where it's flat on bottom. Take a tape measure and measure it out.

I would not suggest these. As much as I love King for the company they are, I have nothing but great things to say about the Eibach ERS springs. After thousands and thousands of miles and the hundreds I have logged on wheeling with these on my coilovers they have not sagged not even an 1/8 inch.
