Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
Was just helping the guy out. He could even really go with a 16" coil if he wanted, judging by how much pre-load he currently has on his coils.

Oh I know. Not bashing you at all dude. Just putting facts out here for him right now. I got the same brand of coilovers so I know these like the back of my hand.

If you go too tall a coil over, you could introduce coil bind into the equation which is not a good thing.

The only one out of those two links which will work for his situation would be the one's that are being sold for $95 from theboy12. The others are 3.5's which are a half inch larger then they should be for 2.5" coilovers. I know for a fact he would not be able to run them on his Camburg's, those springs would fly right off on first impact.

One end of them almost looks like they have been cut. they are perfectly wound on one end, and the other end appears like the winding ends early, look at the way those are, vs the way these new ones are on mine. They may ride like shit because they are not perfectly flat.

    Idk, something seems amiss.

    What is 23"? The springs?

You will ride like shit with an untrue flat surface like that, if you want to sacrifice ride quality over spending an additional $20 for the spring rate and size of your choosing, go for it man. I for one like to have my stuff correct, but that's just me.

What about the spring itself? What was it's height? That's a damn tall coilover! I think mine is only 18.90" tall total.

That seems right given the preload you have pictured.

I'm the guy with the King 600# 14 inch springs. Funny enough I just sold my Racerunners (i.e. the shop that produces Camburgs). I had the same set up. To achieve 3 inches of lift I had mine set at 1 7/8's drivers and 1 5/8th pass. side. Your threads showing looks about right. The springs on it are Eibach 13 inch 650# 3 id springs. You can go to 14 but I never had to with a hybrid front bumper and I ran them for three years without issue.

    Now on to your issue:
I have a question, if I read correctly you stated that you took everything off and put it back on. Does this include the sway bar? ( I can't tell from the picture with droop, however, I can see it is off clearly in the second picture with the wheel removed.

Here's the next one: Did you buy these shocks new or used? If used and with a sway bar did you put on a sway bar relocation bracket? If not there is your problem it's hitting your coil. Stock are only 2.5 id and don't hit.

Also, did you check the pressure in the shocks to see that they are at 200 psi's so your not just on the spring rate? You may be bottoming out and hitting your bumps on the LCA.

When I put mine on I gave the guys at Racerunner a call, they were very helpful when I emailed them pictures, and had questions. They even called me back within an hour and discussed which model Tacoma I had, threads showing, etc. That said, give them a call. It can't hurt. If you want Eibach springs, or Kings, or Icon's give Micah a call at Downsouthmotorsports, he has helped me with three setups now for our truck and 4runner. My Kings were around 170 ish new for the 14 inch 650# 3 id to my door. You will need a spring compressor to put these on. It would also be easier if you compress them a bit before install and tighten down the collar as they are hard to do on the truck with the higher spring rates. Way easier to go up threads than down.

If you decide you want the 600's give me a pm. They should be fine unless you are going full plate, armor, winch and dual battery set up on a double cab.

    My 2 cents,
    -Jon

His height does sound about right. The shocks do look used and the more I thought about it the more I'm wondering if his shocks are aired up. If they are not they would cause him to just basically ride on the springs.

Did you check your pressures OP?

Given that they are basically racerunners and using all aluminum internals and shock bodies, you could actually just use straight compressed air to fill them back up if need be. It's what I have been doing with mine whenever I need to release all the air and fill them back up. I use a high pressure electric pump to air mine up to 290 PSI. You would probably be fine at 200-210 though.

They are used and the guy had them rebuilt so I assumed the air was pumped up. No the sway bar is off so that couldn't be a problem. I'll try the air tomorrow because that makes sense. I called camburg today, no help whatsoever, gave the tech guy at sway away my info but waiting on a call back cause he was busy.
