I've had an issue with the installation of the QuickLIFT Plus on my Taco. I believe I followed the installation, but the issues comes when I'm trying to close the hood. It lowers until about 12 inches above full closure and then it just stops. It seems like the gas springs fully compress and then it doesn't allow the hood to close. I uploaded a video of it happening to an unlisted YouTube video/short. I can also provide some photos if needed to assist with troubleshooting this issue.

20230920_173044.jpg Looks like its mounted in the correct places. Mine the instruction says to connect the cylinder end to the frame and the piston side to the hood. Wouldn't think that would make that much differance. However, I think you have the wrong absorber it looks way too long.

Did you get MAXlift or the regular lift?

You may have struts or instructions wrong for your kit.
