I negotiated a “free” Truxedo tonneau cover when I bought my Tacoma and had it installed at the dealership before driving it home. I love it, but every time I close it before closing the tailgate half of the seal gets stuck behind the tailgate while the other half lays on top as it should. Is there something I can adjust on one side to fix this, or do I just have to deal with it?

You have to shut the tailgate first then press down on the cover, I have had and installed three of these Truxedo Lo Pros.

That’s what I figured, but it’s really annoying because I often want to get things in/out of the back just with opening the tailgate and not the cover.

A few additions to make me feel cool.
Stick your finger under the side of the seal that is out and stop when you get to the other side of the tailgate.

I haven't seen that issue on mine. Double check and make sure it was installed straight. It could happen if one side sits out further than that other.
