So I recently bought a Pelfreybilt bumper for my 05 tacoma the model without the grill guard. Powdercoated it gloss black (looks super clean), but I’ve been going nuts trying to find fog lights for it, but I also have a major problem. There’s a cross bar that’s sitting right about my mount bracket for the lights and it seems like I can’t find lights to fit the space. Has anyone encountered this problem? I ordered a pair of lights that didn’t fit so I decided to buy the squadrons pro ($270) to test my luck, but already have a feeling they won’t fit.

The instructions have you cut/trim that crossbar. I did that, have the same bumper as you, and I'm running Rigid Duallys 2x2 pods.

You need to remove the bumper and can just cut the brace in place with an angle grinder. Easy to do, takes all of 10 minutes to pull off the bumper, mark and make the cuts. Just throw a wet towel or something on the lights/paint to protect from sparks. You can also remove the pieces to cut them. Thats easy to do as well, just involves a couple more steps. Clean looking truck. Good luck!

if it helps i have the squadron sports and the back of the lights are angled so the should fit if you have to flip the light upside down and reverse the lense

@TACOMA2NDGEN duuuude I was looking at the picture for a while and that thought crossed my mind for sure. i’ll Definitely be seeing if I can do that instead of removing and cutting. Did you have to wire them to fit the male plug? Or does it come with the female fitting for the Lights already connected

@BillsSR5 the height from the bracket to the crossbar is about 2.5in and from the hole back to the cross bar is about 2in maybe a little more. Pretty ugly dimensions to work with lol.

I went outside and took a pic of my truck with the cut. Its hard to see. Also seeing it now in pics, woof that was a rough cut lol. Nice and jagged.
