I was horsing around yesterday, drifting around corners on gravel roads and such. In one of the corners I was in second and got the motor revving up to 5000rpm. When I slowed and did a u-turn the truck began to lurch when i went to accelerate and has continued to do so. I can sit still and rev the motor up fine, it idles fine, it starts fine, it's not burning rich and there's no unusual sounds; however, when I go to start off the truck lurches until I've made it over a certain speed and will lurch when I hit the accelerator too hard. The problem seems to occur more when I'm on a slight slant. I have just under a quarter tank but am afraid to put in more in case I have to drop the tank to get at a fuel pump. Any idea's?

How many miles you got? Also, when you say lurch does it lag and then give power?

    No CELs I imagine?

Lastly, whens the last time you replaced your spark plugs?

it actually isn't a fuel delivery problem at all. It was my igniter slowly dying. We ran the CEL code and it gave us a p1300 which is igniter circuit malfuntion no.1. So we unplugged it, looked over the harness etc. Plugged it back in and no more lurching, but I'm getting starting problems far more than before and I think I'm burning a little rich which means bad spark. So there you have it folks, if you ever get a harsh lurch, like complete lack of power for a split second, and then it repeats itself check your igniter.
