Problems Continue... Neutral Safety Switch

SOOO... long story short. Was offroading one night and my Check engine light came on (codeP0705) as well as My reverse Indicator on my display when I was in Drive. So it's telling me I'm in Drive and Reverse at the same time (backup camera came on as well). Well, no matter what gear I am in (drive, neutral, park) my reverse indicator is always on as well as my backup camera. Many people told me it is the Neutral Safety Switch. I went out and bought one and replaced my old one. Well the Check Engine Light is still on as well as my Reverse Indicator always being on as well as my back up camera. Am i missing a step or is there a certain way to reset the Neutral Safety Switch?? I tried erasing the Code with my OBD scanner but no luck. Any help/advice will be greatly appreciated!

If yes and you still have the same issue, then it is probably a wiring problem.

DTC Detection Conditions:

Either of the following conditions is met:

(a) Any 2 or more of the following signals are ON simultaneously. (2-trip detection logic)
• Park/neutral position switch input signal is ON
• R input signal is ON
• D input signal is ON
• 2 input signal is ON

(b) Any 2 or more of the following signals are ON simultaneously. (2-trip detection logic)
• Park/neutral position switch input signal is ON
• R input signal is ON
• 3 input signal is ON
• L input signal is ON

Trouble Areas:

• Open or short in park/neutral position switch circuit
• Park/neutral position switch
• ECM

 

I wonder where in the wiring it would be??

 

Between that switch assembly and the ECU...

Man oh man that was a while ago lol i dont even have the truck anymore but in the process of a new one. Last thing i remember was a mechanic said there was a short with the back up camera itself so when the backup camera came on randomly without being in reverse, the truck thought it was in reverse with the gear illumination lol. Didnt affect the way it drove so i just disabled the back up camera
