If you raise the seats, how will you get your legs past the steering wheel?

Also if you raise the seat I can tell you that you'll hit your head on the roof. Unless you like 5'5" :notsure:

OP you can only change the angle of the seat by raising the rear with spacers. To raise the whole seat would require further more elaborate seat frame modification, and that may affect the re-sale value and possibly cause safety concerns if not done properly.

You can however go to an upholstery shop and get better fitting seat cushion but that can also affect re-sale value and cost as its more permanent.

It may be best to get a memory seat cushion from Walmart or Amazon:

    https://www.amazon.com/Relaxzen-60-...?s=automotive&ie=UTF8&qid=1501946117&sr=1-151

I would just make sure its the wider type with a strap on the rear that you can attach with landscape tape. It works like Velcro tape but it can be more easily removed when needed.
I got one for my wife to use on the 4Runner as the leather seats are stiff, not soft like our Taco and she loves it. Cost $25, they have cheaper ones, but not worth it imo

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

If you aren't an engineer qualified to make these design changes to vital safety equipment you should proceed at your own risk.

No, just the rear, that raise your body by whatever length the spacers are. The seat bottom was tilted too much toward the rear for my taste to begin with--it had a "deep dish" sort of ghetto seating position...

I am 5'9" and there remains at least 5 inches of headroom with the 32 mm spacers--plenty for me and my Panama hat:

This is so, there was a recent post where a fellow wanted to use polyurethane spacers--using a stack of washers would be better, not at all recommended but better than polyurethane...

the seat is designed to be bolted against a flat surface. When you raise it up with a spacer or washer the seat frame no longer has that support and your putting a lot more force on the bolt itself. Even using a hardened steel high grade bolt still my be unsafe. I'm no engineer, but I can tell you you're increasing the stress on the bolt and it could sheer due to the impact of a collision. Imagine getting T-boned or clipped at an intersection and your truck going into a spin. That's a lot of force. Now imagine those bolts sheering and you are now a projectile inside your vehicle. You're going to be throw and whipped around like a rag doll. Extremely dangerous.

If I were going to do any modification like that I would use a block of steel so the whole seat frame and body were in contact with the block. Not just raised up by the small surface area of a spacer. Also it seems like there was only 4 threads holding that bolt on but the guy who used spacers. I would be using a longer bolt as well for added security. From the factory, that bolt has more than 4-5 threads securing it

5'-11" and my head is almost (1/2") from touching with the sunroof....!! Damn thing eats up tons of space..

Wish it were gone.... did not ask for it but I fell in love with the truck......!! Had to take her with all her faults... just like the "ole lady"...hehe
