Rear only. As has been stated in this and other similar threads raising the front-- because of the angle of the mounting pad on the brackets--would require an adapter block machined with a counter-bored hole for a cap screw to fasten the bracket to the floor, and an offset M10 x 1.25 threaded hole to mount the seat bracket to the adapter block. This would have to be made of steel to be done correctly, and hardened and tempered so that the characteristics of the threaded bore in the block matched those of the alloy steel class 10.9 bolt.

I also suspect the lift would have to be more than 3/4" to obtain sufficient offset for the two bores.

While I could make such blocks, with my mIni-mill it would likely take 10 hours for each block, then I'd still have to have them heat treated which would be $100 or so--i.e. I could not make them for less than $700 to $750.

I am curious as to why you wish to raise the front, that will just make the Adirondack chair like position worse?

Raising the rear is all that's needed to raise your torso, and therefore your viewing position...

Listen to Cliff on this. Lifting the front only will just bring your knees up into the steering column and do nothing to jack your ass higher to see over the wheel.

I am sorry Cliff....I thought the bolts were for the front. I already got longer bolts for the back that are super hardened. I need bolts for the front.

For everyone wanting to raise the seat: do yall want to sit like you're driving an 18-wheeler or school bus or something? My wife (5'2) and I (right under 5'7) have absolutely zero issue with the seat height. If anything, it may be too tall...

I felt like I was driving a ghetto-sled Impala with the seat bottom tilted back so much--but keep in mind I'm old...

Can't help you then--it will take more than bolts to safely raise both the front and rear. Again I will state I found no reason to raise the front...

I made these 1/2 inch spacers. I like the angle of the seat because of my old back. I figure if the x to the y and etc fail...I am getting up there in age any how.

you can purchase a good quality of sheep skin seat cover, that what I did. It raised the seat about 1/2 in. and are more comfortable and cooler in the summer.

Haha! So funny. I hate sunroofs. I don't know why. Maybe it's my bald spot on top, maybe it's the noise. Maybe it's the thought of stupidly buying a truck with a big effing hole cut in the roof when you live in Oregon (it rains here a little) It could be my 6'2" little person body (long torso, short ass legs) I felt like my head would go through the damn thing on a good solid bump when I test drove the TRD OR.

Here's the beauty. My wife didn't notice "our" TRD Pro didn't have one for several days after purchase. She got pretty hot. "Oh, I thought you knew honey! They don't come with them.." I said with a gleeful, hidden little smirk.

Yeah, "I hope she doesn't see this" is something I've thought several times posting here!

Is the 8 mm reduced diameter locating dowel necessary for anything other than not cross threading the bolt?

Yeah, this isn't right. Just because you have the same thread engagement length and a 25% stronger bolt material doesn't mean you are covered from a strength standpoint. The failure mode changes with this mod due to fastener bending; the resulting tensile stress increase due to a 1" + spacer is considerably more than 25% for a #10 or 1/4" fastener. Now, we don't know the design loads and how close this fastener is to failing in a 'nominal' configuration. But I will tell you this mod changes the failure mode of the joint and results in reduced capability.

Bottomline, don't blindly trust someone on the internet's 45+ years experience

the geometry won't work properly due to the angles being different on front and rear bolts,as you go up the bolts get farther away from threaded holes in floor,if that makes any sense
