Problems with keyless entry

Hi there everyone! New to the forum! I just got a 07 Tacoma v6 PreRunner. I am having a problem with the keyless entry as well as some weird blinking of the dash lights and the blinker lights. First, I am thinking that I just need new batteries in the remotes for the keyless. I try to unlock the doors and the Hazzard lights just blink 3 times but nothing unlocks. I can lock the doors though! Any advice?

The second thing with the blinking hazards and interior dash lights continuously blink when I turn off the truck and it even makes a little ticking sound like I have my turn signal. I have a feeling that the two things might be related. Has this happened with anyone else's Tacoma?

Perfect. Ok, I will get reading! Thanks gearcruncher. Solved the remote problem. will see if that solves the crazy possession flashing of the dash lights!

 

Well I thought the reprogramming it would work but it is still only unlocking the doors every now and then. It flashes twice like it read the command from the fob but the locks aren't unlocking. Any advice?

 

This is a stupid simple question lol but have you checked the remote battery and the battery on your truck?

 

I have. Well the key fob that is. Not the truck battery. I will check that out.

 

Is this the factory keyless, or an aftermarket? I'm assuming factory. The multiple flashing dash lights sounds almost like the truck thinks you've pressed the Panic button, but you should be hearing the horn with that as well.
