Only spindle lift. I must have thrown it away. When I go over bumps in the road with my hands off the wheel the steering wheel spins. It didn't do that before or in my girlfriends car. Do you think the UCA's are too short?

It sounds like your caster is too low, which causes bump stear. I had similar issues before installing the LR UCAs

I dont know enough about the maxtracs, my thought would be that they dont mess up the alignment geometry due to how they are designed... they provide the lift not the suspension id like to get that info here before you go spend 500

He doesn't need UCA's now that I look at it. I forgot he was spindle and not suspension. I don't know what could be causing his alignment issue unless the shop didn't do a good job. Where did you get the alignment done @Captain T?

I got the alignment dont at Advanced Tire and Auto in Ocala. I asked them if they could work on it cause of the lift and they said yes. They took forever maybe I should get another one somewhere else?

Thats my guess... terrible alignment. Wish he had the alignment sheet. Is it possible to have a shop just pull his current specs? Wonder what theyd charge

That's my guess. Did the shop give you a spec sheet when they were finished? I'm thinking they either don't know what they're doing with lifted vehicles or a newbie was performing the alignment. How long ago was this done? I know many people bash Firestone, but they have a lifetime alignment for $200. At least they will give you a spec sheet every time.

2ndly check your wheel balance, alignment ( again ) and You don't need UCAs if you are just running the spindles. Everything stays at stock geometry. Just widens the front 3/4" each side.

I don't think you need UCA's with a spindle lift because none of the geometry changes with the spindle lift... correct me if I'm wrong.

I remember getting a spec sheet and I remember being really pissed off after getting it dont so im sure i threw it away. I'll take it for an alignment tomorrow. I ordered the hubcentric spacers too. I'll post my spec sheet tomorrow.

Yep I'm with you, didn't see your post before I posted lol

    :fistbump:

Sounds to me like your non hub centric spacers are causing it. Not to mention the alignment shop you might have taken it to didn't know what the hell they are doing.

As much as I hate 4 wheel parts... they do have alignment techs who know how to align off-road suspension... and techs who know how to mount and balance tires on rims with out scratching them.

I'd give them a try after you install your new spacers maybe if you have one local :notsure:

Don't get the alignment done till you put the new spacers on btw. Otherwise you'll be throwing money away

Yeah thats the route i would take. Get new proper spacers, cant go wrong with spidertrax. If vibration is still present, have wheel balance checked. Then get alignment re done at a diff shop and keep the spec sheet.

Spacers are for the rear only. the fronts stick out mega wide without them. Just put em on the rear so they can keep up. I cant drive this thing through a puddle without lookin like i've been muddling all day.,

This that and the other thing.
I'm no expert here but ive been involved in a few discussions in other threads about hub centric vs lug centric spacers. from what ive gathered it really shouldn't make a difference as long as they have been installed properly and with the correct style of lug. for lug centric spacers you need conical shaped lugs and tighten them in a star pattern (which IMO should be standard practice when tightening lugs anyways) but @Clearwater Bill might be able to chime in here

Outside tire wear is typically a camber issue, but with the shaking as well, I am wondering if the toe is not correct. Also inspect the tie rods, for play.

I was not aware of that, and stand corrected. Sorry for the misinformation OP.
