Just a bunch of old crap
I don't see images from some people's posts, such as from flickr or photobucket, but that's because my work connection blocks it. I do see all of the avatars, banners, etc. on the site though.

yeah, that is what i am suspecting is going on.....i do get the occasional images/gifs that will not load because they are blocked. prob same thing with the sites image storage location.....my employers security protocols just does not like it.

sockmonkey's company is blocking one of the domains used to host images for TW...your company might be too. i'm guessing you're experiencing this issue only at work

One reason I don't even bother with forums at work.

While IT doesn't pull audits on usage from the traffic management network, we're behind 3 layers of firewalls, and have to manually log in every time we open a browser window, plus every hour or so if we keep the window open.
Any of our software that needs access to the outside world has it's own dedicated path through security.

Goes both ways... IT doesn't want someone hacking the traffic network and getting into the City servers, and we don't want anyone coming in from "the wild" or from the IT department and jacking our traffic management network.
I can get in from home using an RSA token and remote desktop... that's the only way in

Same problem here....this just started this week. Seems strange that many of us are having this issue all of a sudden. I suspect something changed with TW.

Mine is off and on at work (this might be pointless if images don't work for anyone else on this thread) but the page looks like this a lot of the time where the banner should be:

    TWprob1_zps5e740121_f5a7f668e1e59d421bb190d1778e67ee255cb67c.jpg

And here's what posts look like:

    twprob2_zps9a7aae50_ea7f84d0831b26f8e0253ef4cb65f14eb71eae14.jpg

None of the buttons (quote, multi-quote, pm, rep) work, but signatures and most pics show up for me. It's off and on whether or not everything works as it should, and it just started this week as well. It used to run perfectly here.

looks like your work is blocking twstatic.net ... we serve our images and css files from there. sigs and things will show up for you if they're hosted elsewhere (like photobucket, or where your work isn't blocking)

Gotcha. Weird, that just started. I guess they must've added it to stuff they block recently. Why does it randomly work then?

I just went to the twstatic.net site mentioned above and Tacomaworld loaded with all of the pictures now showing. Strange. If you're still having problems you may want to try this.....
