Problems with steering wheel buttons...changing XM radio stations

I've only had my 2023 Tacoma for 1 day (sold my 2021 1794 to buy it), occassionally and seemingly randomly I can change the radio station from my steering wheel buttons. The screen looks like this......Ideas????

 

There should be a bigger screen on the dash that shows Sirius channels, song titles and bands. That little one does not show much. I have the Navigation on my screen which is divided into two parts the radio and the Maps. I do control everything from my steering wheel phone calling, answering, radio stations etc. Hope this helps.

 

I went out and looked at my small screen and it showed more than the blank pic of your screen. So I'm not sure why yours is like that.

 

I've got a 2016 with Entune, so maybe it's different, but:

1. That screen shows details about what you're listening to (e.g., track name or radio station ID):



2. When I turn the audio off, the screen doesn't go blank, it tells me that the audio source is off:



3. My steering wheel has audio controls on the left, and the UP/DOWN buttons *always* either change track or radio station, depending on what is playing, no matter what. If I'm on radio, it scrolls up and down through my presets. If I'm on CD or MP3, it scrolls forward/backward through the playlist:



This is not how it works for you?
