I have no dog in this hunt but this is great information! My truck is a 6 speed MT and I just rolled over 100,000 miles. No problems to date but this is good information for future reference. I plan on keeping my current Taco for many years.

    My shit is all stock.
Thank you. I emailed him. No response yet. Keep me in the loop if you hear anything. My truck is down. It lost all of the fluid from the system while parked last night. I went out to go to work this morning and the pedal hit the floor and stayed there. Reservoir is empty. Had to take the wife’s ex-car to work and back.

Hey so I just had the same thing happen to me this weekend about 4 hours from home in the wilderness...

Go to take a hard acceleration onto highway, can no longer shift, loud chirping hammers coming from clutch area...

Clutch pedal went to the ground, leaking fluid, and had to drive home using rev matching.

I have the sleeve kit on the way from URD, getting a new slave and master cylinder, probably going to replace the pressure plate and everything in there as well.

I installed a Stage 2 URD clutch system with their supplied bearing (I assume OEM, however I read in a forum post from Gadget that they did indeed go back to OEM sometime due to premature TOB failure) at around 75K miles. Drove till about 85K then started having the chirp.

I decided to keep going till failure. I am at about 100K now. Noticed 2-3 times where there was difficulty going into gear. I realize now it was impending slave cylinder failure (based on assumptions) and when accelerating hard to marge with traffic, the shifting ability completely stopped. I ended up having to start in gear and do Rev matching shifting for about 3 hours. The noise was like nothing I have ever heard a vehicle make. Got it home. Took a peak inside the transmission viewport, didn't see too of what was going on other than the slave cylinder and release fork are screwed.

Waiting on parts now as I will have a limited window to tear things apart and rebuild. I ordered a URD sleeve kit and an new AISIN clutch, slave cylinder, release fork, and the updated release fork support knob.

I suspect the transmission snout may have sheared off (due to the prolonged driving and crazy noise coming from the tranny), so I am also considering ordering that ClutchMasters hydro bearing kit just in case, my understanding is this will still function with a sheared input quill. I know there have been some complaints of some seals failing on those, I hope they have sorted it all out. Or possibly I will be replacing the bell housing or full transmission.

Failed slave cylinder seems to have been the point of failure.

It looks like the quill is broken off the transmission as well.
